HWIC-4T and HWIC-4A/S Serial Cabling
These cables are for use with the Cisco 4-Port Serial High-Speed
WAN Interface Card (HWIC-4T) with four high-speed serial ports, and
the 4-Port Asynchronous/Synchronous High-Speed WAN Interface Card
(HWIC-4A/S) with four low-speed synchronous/asynchronous ports. Each
card supports up to 4 serial cables.
HWIC-8A/S Serial Cabling
The Cisco 8-Port Asynchronous/Synchronous HWIC-8A/S uses a dual
port configuration. Each cable is configured as a VHDIC 68 Pin to 4x
DB25 RS-232 cable. The HWIC-8A/S will accept 2 cables for a toal of 8
ports.

The Cisco 8-Port Asynchronous HWIC and 16-Port Asynchronous HWIC
use one (HWIC-8A) or two (HWIC-16A) high-density 8-port connectors.
The 8-port asynchronous cable provides the high-density connector on
one end and eight RJ-45 plugs on the other. RJ-45- to DB-25 modular
adapters are used to convert the RJ-45 to a DB-25 DTE or DB-25 DCE
connection.

HWIC High Density Patch Panel (HDPP)
HWIC-8A, HWIC-16A, SM-32A Compatible
Available in both 16 and 32 port RJ-45 versions, as well as a 16 Port
DB25 version, the HDPP series of patch panels allow you to run a single
cable (one cable for each 8 ports) to the back of the panel and access the
ports from the front. Mounted in a compact 1 RU enclosure, the HDPP
can provide up to 2 times the port density of typical cable to pass-thru
patch panel solutions.
Standard 16 Port RJ-45 Pass-Thru Patch Panel
HWIC-8A, HWIC-16A, SM-32A Compatible
Typical low-density solution that is compatible for installations that
already have an investment in the CAB-HD8-ASYNC style Octal
cabling. The 16 Port RJ-45 Pass Thru Patch Panel provides 16 PassThru RJ-45 adapters on a 19” wide 1 RU patch panel.
Legacy Solutions, HDPP Kits, Custom Solutions and Adapter Cables

will adapt the older NM-16A and NM-32A interface cards to the HDPP High Density Panel series. We also
