ENGLISH TEXTBOOKS 2016
The English Department has been able to source excellent study guides on each of
the Grade 12 2016 set works required for the Grade 11s final year in 2015 from The
English Experience. They are:
Coriolanus (Shakespeare) – the text and the study guide (usual R250.00)
Absolution – the study guide (usual cost R250.00)
The IEB poetry study guide with all the poems (usual cost R250.00) (the poetry
anthology is, therefore, not needed).
Essential Guide to IEB examination - (usual cost R240.00) – a breakdown of both
examinations with exercises and past papers, examination techniques etc.
English Experience has an early bird special: there is a 15% discount if we order and
pay before 31 July 2015.
Even though we will be using only Coriolanus and the poetry book in the third term
of 2015, all four books will be delivered to us next term. The only other book that has
to be purchased for English 2016 is the actual text of Absolution, which can be
bought from Ferndale Books, or ordered on the textbook list.
The English Department will issue extension booklets and past papers during the
course of 2016.
As we are a cashless school, your account will be debited by the amount of
R841.50. If your son is not returning in 2016, please let me know.
