has gone mad in 2014
We are taking you back to where it all began. This year, we are
paying tribute to the characters of the hit TV show Mad Men,
who effectively helped shape the world of advertising
in 1960’s Manhattan.
The show is based around a group of powerful and unforgettable
advertising executives at an agency called Sterling Cooper.
Don Draper and Roger Sterling exuded a ubiquitous charm and
charisma that modern men aspire to, while Joan Harris and
Peggy Olson proved that women could be just as influential
as men both sexually and professionally in what had previously
been considered a man’s world. Times may have changed,
but the creativity remains.
These are the Mad Men and Women of Quadrant Creative….

Don Draper
ROGERWILSON - Account Director
Our very own Bert Cooper and a previous ad agency owner
himself, Roger knows exactly what is required to be successful
in the industry. It’s safe to say he is well equipped with extensive
knowledge and skills, which allow him to do his job with ease.
When he’s not at his desk, you will probably find him filling his
role of Marketing Manager on his Golf Club committee, which can
sometimes be just as challenging as account direction.
VICKIFIELD - Account Director
When it comes to account management, you don’t get much more
composed than Vicki. No matter how much work she appears to
have on she always manages to remain cool, calm and collected,
which makes her a valuable asset to both her clients and
colleagues. Vicki is a true multi-tasker who is just as talented in
the kitchen as she is in client service, meaning she’s often in high
demand to cook Friday lunches.
TONYSCOTT - CEO
Much like Roger Sterling of Mad Men, Tony is likely to sit back
modestly and tell you he doesn’t rule the roost, but we all know
he really does. His unparalleled knowledge, relationships and
experience in both the property and advertising industries make
him invaluable to his clients. Away from the office, Tony plays
an important role as a co-founder of a local charity known as
the MOB, (Men Of Business) which is a mentoring program for
teenage males based on the concept of paying it forward to
the next generation. Tony loves surfing and is passionate about
keeping active.
RICHARDMIER - Account Director
This Account Director has been described as being more client
than man on more than one occasion, and for good reason.
If there’s one thing you can’t deny about Richard, it’s his
unwavering commitment to his clients. He spends his days gaining
a comprehensive understanding of exactly what they need and
strategising the best ways to execute it. Away from work,
Richard is just as committed to his chosen sport of cycling
and can be found riding his bike long before the sun comes up.
BYRONSCOTT - Account Manager
Byron would definitely take the title of ‘Jack of all trades.’
His knowledge is widespread and skills versatile meaning he’s
the go-to in many situations. Whether it’s client service, IT,
or finance, there’s a fair chance Byron can help. Characterised by
his ‘everything will be fine’ approach, he is someone you would
seek in a crisis and it’s a quality appreciated by all. It is Byron’s
general versatility that makes him an invaluable team member.

JIMMOORES - Creative Director
As Don Draper is to “Mad Men,” Jim Moores is to Quadrant
Creative. Jim may have spent less time with a scotch and cigarette
in hand than his counterpart but there are definite similarities.
Like Don, Jim has a vision like no other and excels himself in
creative strategy and video production. He is not afraid to
question anything for the sake of producing the best result
possible. When he’s not at work, Jim is fulfilling his duties as
President of his golf club, or more likely just playing a round.
LAURAWEBB - Copywriter
Delivering the words behind many of our clients’ creative
campaigns, is reluctant footy fan and self-confessed fashionista,
Laura Webb. In the tradition of Mad Men’s own Peggy Olson,
Laura’s quiet dedication to the creative process and her ability to
research the background angle on a topic are only equalled by her
obsession with great coffee. Always one for a laugh and a quick
update on the latest celebrity news, Laura boasts the loudest car
stereo on the coast.
SHANEMACGREGOR - Art Director
Shane would best be described as a natural artist. From pencil
drawings to web layouts, Shane can identify the necessary
direction and guides others through the process. He has an
obvious passion for all things creative and is constantly seeking
new ways to perfect his craft. Shane’s artistic talents spread well
beyond advertising with hobbies including painting, furniture
design and photography. He is also a self confessed Jamie Oliver
fan and keen surfer.

SUZETTEMACGREGOR - Graphic Designer
The newest member of “Tim’s Angels,” Suzette has assumed her
role in the group and fits in perfectly. She is a talented illustrator
and painter and is currently completing her degree in Fine Arts.
When she’s not studying or working in the studio,
Suzette is balancing the job of mum to her 2 young girls.
It can’t be easy being the Art Director’s wife, but Suzette has
pulled it off without a hitch.
JULIAREINIKKA - Graphic Designer
With a good eye for all forms of art, Julia is a highly versatile
designer. Not only is she a talented illustrator, but also has advanced
web design skills making her a vital addition to “Tim’s Angels.”
Away from work, Julia is quite the adventurer and adrenalin seeker
and can be seen riding around the Gold Coast on her motorbike,
reading a gripping medieval novel or watching her favourite
motorcycle rider, Marc Marquez, take out some more titles.
TIMHAMILTON - Studio Manager
Tim could be described as the studio captain. He ultimately
decides which jobs get completed first, holding him in relatively
high power. Our four lovely graphic designers are affectionately
referred to as “Tim’s Angels,” an ode to Bosley in the hit TV show,
Charlie’s Angels. He has developed a reputation for accepting
edible bribes in exchange for earlier completion of jobs, meaning
when an urgent deadline arises, you’re best to approach him
with Cadbury.
SHARONBRASEN - Graphic Designer
Another key member of “Tim’s Angels,” Sharon has extensive
knowledge of the design industry, particularly in print. She designs
a surfing magazine despite being unable to stand on a board
herself. Sharon’s never afraid of having a good laugh at her own
expense, or more often at the expense of the person silly enough
to try and out-wit her. This angel will definitely shoot you down in
your place.
SUZIMACPHAIL - Graphic Designer
This fun-loving graphic artist come cat lover has been gracing
Quadrant with her presence for many years. It’s Suzi’s unmatched
industry experience partnered with her keen eye for detail and
constant reliability that make her so valuable in the studio. She
is a versatile character who has a passion and talent for interior
design and loves watching the Ultimate Fighting Championship,
which we all find quite amusing. Suzi is the proud owner of 3 cats
but is definitely far from being a cat lady.

KIMEFDE - Financial Controller
Kim has held the position of Quadrant Financial Controller for many
years and performs a vital role in the business. She is a frequent
flyer who divides her time between Australia and Asia. Kim has a
strong sense of style and manages to look effortless every time
she comes in to work. Now that she has Cath as her accounts
sidekick, she will probably have to deal with the “Cath and Kim”
jokes for a long time to come.
GRANTNEWBY - Production Manager
Grant is an ideas man who is distinguished by his resourcefulness
and practicality, which make him capable of bringing any vision to
life. From t-shirts to print jobs to signage, he understands exactly
what needs to be done and exactly who to call to make it happen.
Grant has a hidden talent for crafting wooden surfboards, which
is probably where you will find him away from the Quadrant studio.
Even though he spends more time stuck in traffic than the average
human, he still manages to ensure every sign and banner pole
remains upright.
CATHCLARK - Accounts
Cath is another new staff member who has slotted into her role
at the agency with ease. She is highly experienced in accounts
and has a great sense of humour, which comes in handy when
she’s playing one half of “Cath and Kim.” When she’s not number
crunching, Cath is busy planning her upcoming wedding and
playing the role of Mum to her 3 young children.
