Francis Kazungu
From: Kenya
Major: Biochemistry
“I chose Miami because of its strong biochemistry
program. My freshman year, I joined a team of
professors and students conducting HIV research.
This interested me because of the AIDS epidemic
back home. When I first started, I had to have
someone show me how to do everything. This is
my third year, and I work independently. I want
to go on to graduate school, and my research
experience will help me.”
