Intro
Are you interested in software development or IT consulting? Automation Consultants is looking for enthusiastic
students to help over the summer with coding its software products and helping its consultants advise customers on
software lifecycle automation.

What We Do
Software lifecycle automation is the use of automated tools to produce software more quickly and with fewer errors
than would be the case otherwise.
Tools exist to automate requirements management, project management (including agile projects), source code
control, testing and deployment.
Automation Consultants sells these tools to its customers and helps them make the most of them by providing
consultancy and training.
About The Roles
IT Consultant
We are looking for students studying computer science or another numerate discipline to help us over the summer.
The work involves setting up automation tools on our own hardware to demonstrate to customers, helping to
prepare examples and demonstrations and potentially some face-to-face customer work.
Software Developer
Automation Consultants also develops its own software tools and is looking for developers to help code them. For
this we are looking for students with Java and/or .NET and web development skills. The products include a cloud
based test management tool and its website and a network discovery and latency analysis tool.

Experience Required:

Studying a relevant numerate Degree, e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics

Programming skills eg C. C#, C++, Java, HTML, Python (more in-depth knowledge is required for the coding
role)

Excellent communication skills

Eligiblility to work in the UK
Salary: £18K Pro Rata
Duration: June / July to September 2015
