MBA HCS (Healthcare Services)
Health care is a growing field with career opportunities for many people, including M.B.A. graduates. Pharmaceutical
companies, hospitals, insurance companies, financial institutions, and government agencies represent some of the
potential employers. The field encompasses biotechnology, medical devices, and health care services.
Health care M.B.A.'s can be in charge of multimillion-dollar facilities employing thousands of people. Leaders must be
able to blend a solid foundation in business with managerial issues in health care in an environment that is rapidly
changing and takes in many different settings and organizational forms.
Eligibility: Three year Graduation. Min Duration: Two years (4 Semesters). Max Duration: 4 years.
MBA will be awarded after successful completion of all the four semesters.
Fee Details:
Admission Fee : Dhs.1000
Course Fee per semester : Dhs.5,500
Eligibility for Lateral Entry to the Second Semester of M.B.A.HCS:
MBBS/BDS/B.Pharm/BHMS/BAMS/BUMS/BSSM/BVSc/ 4 years graduation in Allied Health Science / Life Science Graduates
from a recognized University.
But, these Lateral Entry students have to pay the fees and appear for the first semester examinations and clear them.
Examinations: Generally held twice in a year - in April and October.
Evaluation: 1) Continuous Evaluation 30%, 2)
Term end Examination 70%
Continuous evaluation is done through assignments. The student’s performance will be evaluated based on both continuous
evaluation and term end examination by Sikkim Manipal University (SMU).

A - Excellent (+70%)
B - Very Good (+60%)
C - Good (+50%)
D - Satisfactory (+40%)
E - Failure
