Name: Date: Ancient Civilizations Project Egypt, Greece, Rome CIVILIZATION: _________________ ASSIGNMENT: You and your group have been chosen by the Ancient Civilizations Tourist Bureau to design a travel brochure promoting your ancient civilization. As members of the travel agency, you have been asked to ‘sell a trip’ to your assigned ancient civilization. Not only do you want to earn the bonus your boss is rewarding you with by proving that your civilization is the very best destination, but you are also a proud citizen. Using PowerPoint, you will create your travel brochure and present it to the class. PROCESS/RESEARCH: 1) You will use a variety of resources to research your civilization using the categories provided. Each group member will become an expert on one of the categories. You will record your research by taking notes on the graphic organizer provided. This must be in note form – No full sentences or single words. Notes must be phrases. 2) Then you will use your research/notes to write draft paragraphs – 2-‐3 paragraphs for each category. Remember to include a topic sentence, details, and a concluding sentence for each paragraph. 3) Next, you and your group will publish the paragraphs into a travel brochure by creating a PowerPoint presentation. Attach pictures, videos, diagrams, and titles to the presentation. 4) Lastly, you will present your travel brochure to the class. Make sure to rehearse your presentation.
