About this release

Thank you for choosing McAfee SaaS Email and Web Services. This document contains important
information about the current release. We strongly recommend that you read the entire document.
New features
The current release includes the following new and updated features.
Supported Environments
This release includes new features and enhancements that affect the interface.
•
OS X 10.9 — Firefox (latest version), Chrome (latest version), Safari (latest version)
•
Windows 8, Windows 7 — Internet Explorer 11, Firefox (latest version), Chrome (latest version)
Account Management changes
This release includes new features and enhancements for Account Management.
•
Download Hierarchy Report — The Hierarchy Report allows partner-level administrators to download a .csv
file that lists all customer accounts, including contact details and seat counts. Also, the report lists
the partner hierarchy for each customer with partner contact information.
Email Protection changes
This release includes new features and enhancements for Email Protection.
•
New enhancements improve the effectiveness of spam filtering over the next 30–60 days.
•
The Office 365 Setup guide provides step-by-step for securing Microsoft Exchange Online with
McAfee SaaS Email Protection.

Email Continuity changes
This release includes new features and enhancements for Email Continuity.
•
Enhancements to the Email Continuity user interface make working with file attachments more
intuitive.
Resolved issues
These issues are resolved in this release of the product. For a list of issues fixed in earlier releases,

Account Management
•
Partners can now set the User Type value using the API. (965152)
•
LDAP auth settings save and load correctly even when a field contains an ampersand. (985940)
•
In the Directory Integration, clicking Test Settings no longer results in an error when the test takes
longer than 30 seconds. (990991)
•
When adding users with a batch create file, you can now create users with an ampersand in their
email address. (991276)
•
Time zone inheritance works correctly when logging on using Hash Login. (991305)
•
Time zone inheritance works correctly for the User List download. (992052)
Email Archiving
•
An internal process now correctly indexes user aliases and new addresses. (980608)
•
Users can connect to their mail sources and test connectivity when their username contains the
slash "/" special character. (996987)
Email Continuity
•
Message Compose properly encodes filenames in the content-type header. (992060)
•
When viewing the Disaster Recovery Overview report, the Download Disaster Recovery Audit Report link works
correctly when selecting All Domains. (1007463)
Email Protection

An internal process no longer fails when there are no partner reseller IDs to return. (869761)

Spam reports arrive on the correct day even when there is a significant difference between the
local time zone and the system time zone. (929512)

TLS failures no longer prevent quarantined messages from being released and delivered to their

Spam reports now show the same spam score as the Quarantine page. (964625)
•
Message audit records for released messages correctly show Japanese characters as they appeared
in the subject line. (968800)

A fix improves the system's ability to scan RAR archive files for viruses. (972428)

The Authentication-Results header for each recipient no longer includes the SPF value more than

Message flow is no longer disrupted during anti-virus reloads. (985064)

Email delivery failures are now correctly recognized as bounced messages. (987197)

A fix in ClickProtect ensures that McAfee Web Gateway appliances cannot act as an open relay or
