Congratulations! You’ve reached the end of the required KCC course. The last activity that you will need to
complete for this class is the final exam project. Please read the following information carefully to begin your
work on the final.

jobs with very little direction.

Now that you have a semester of keyboarding and computer experience and
knowledge, you can turn those skills into money. Assume that you are applying
for an entry-level word processing job at a company called Westdale Line
Rollering Club. After completing an application letter, you will be hired as a word
processing assistant. Your major responsibility in this job will be to prepare
business documents. Read the help wanted ad at the left.
About Westdale Line Rollering Club:
Westdale Line Rollering Club was organized in 1998 with a charter membership
of 20. The membership today is 175 and reflects a national trend of the
popularity of in-line skating as a sport. They are currently building a 60-acre
recreational city park and also own Rollerama Skating Rink, which provides office
and meeting space for the club. The address of the club is Westdale Line
Rollering Club, 5792 Mills Road, Westdale, OK 73806-2549.
Instructions for Completing the Final Project:
Each job is located on the front table in the classroom. Please return each job to the table as you complete
them and at the end of the period each day. Create a “Final” folder in your KCC folder.
Job 1: Complete the letter of application for this job. Be sure to use correct spacing. Change Ms. Sharp’s
name to Mrs. Donna Spear. Be sure to enter your own qualifications in paragraph 2 and your personal
information into paragraph 3. Proofread the letter, prepare an envelope, print, and be sure to sign the
letter in blue or black ink pen. Fold the letter properly for a business-size envelope (No. 10). Save the file
as lastname_appltr in your Final folder. Paperclip and hand in for grading.
Job 2: Using your report template, prepare the report entitled INTEGRATING BICYCLING WITH IN-LINE
SKATING. Be careful with the proofreader’s marks. Format the REFERENCES correctly. Include a footer on
your document. Save the file as lastname_finalrpt in your Final folder. Print and hand in for grading.
Job 3: Using your memo template, key the memo to Isako Nozaki. Be sure to follow all directions. Include
a footer on your document. Save the file as lastname_finalmem in your Final folder. Print and hand in for
grading.
Job 4: Create the Dues Update table. To calculate the total dues for each category, multiply the number in
parentheses by the yearly dues. Be sure to calculate the total dues at the bottom of Column 3. Include
the source information as the last row of your table. Apply all proper table formatting features. Be careful
with alignment. Save the table as lastname_finaltbl in your Final folder. Print and hand in for grading.
