CONFERENCE - IMC 2014
MANAGEMENT CHALLENGES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
2014, November, 6th-7th, Bucharest, Romania
This year's edition of International Management Conference aims for collaboration and joint
efforts among the conference participants towards identifying major trends and challenges of
management for sustainable development.
Academics, doctoral students and practitioners are invited to submit:
Research papers presenting important new findings in the field (max. 10 pages);
Case studies describing new developments in management field (max. 16 pages);
Academic papers dealing with medium or long-term trends and predictions (max. 10
pages).
TRACKS
The papers will be presented in parallel sessions:
• Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management
• Production, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Intellectual Property, Innovation and Knowledge Management
• Organizational Culture, Business Ethics and HR Management
• Investment and Project Management
A special session will be organized for Ph.D. Students (please send by email your option for
this session).
INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
The articles to the Conference shall be written in English. Articles will not be edited; authors
are responsible for preparation of articles according to the guidelines.
Each participant can submit maximum 2 papers as author or co-author.
The template is available on the conference website.
Submitted papers are subject to a peer-review process. All review comments and suggestions
should be addressed in the final submission. Submitted Papers must be original and not previously
published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere.
Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (CD with
ISSN), which will be submitted for evaluation at Conference Proceedings Citation Index –
Thomson Reuters (ISI Proceedings).
Selected papers will be published in the journals of the Faculty of Management: Review of
International Comparative Management (http://www.rmci.ase.ro/), Economia. Seria Management
(http://www.management.ase.ro/reveconomia/) and Business and Excellence in Management
(http://beman.ase.ro/).
Conference Language: English.
The duration of every presentation is 20 minutes. Authors will have 15 minutes for the
presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers with the audience.
Please kindly note that individuals using computer projection must bring a memory stick or a
CD containing their presentation. Files can be uploaded to the local PCs in the lecture rooms
during the breaks between the sessions. To avoid software compatibility problems (MS
Powerpoint), speakers are advised to bring a .ppt or .pptx or PDF-version of their presentation.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
In case their paper was accepted, authors should register for participation at the conference. For papers
with more than one author at least one of the authors should register. The organizers do not commit
themselves to include in the Proceedings any paper received later than the deadline and that does not
comply with the recommendations of the reviewers.

REGISTRATION FEE
Registration fee (450 lei/paper, for national payments; 100 euro/paper, for international
payments) covers access to sessions, one copy of the conference proceedings, coffee breaks,
lunch & dinner.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel booking and expenses.
Payments will be made by bank transfer into the account of Societatea Academică de
Management din România (SAMRO).
A scanned copy of the payment receipt will be sent to the organizers after receiving the final
acceptance notification.
KEY DATES
June 15, 2014: Deadline for submission of full papers.
July 15, 2014: Notification of acceptance/rejection. Refereed papers returned to authors for revision.
September 10, 2014: Deadline for submission of final papers.
October 1, 2014: Registration and payment of registration fee.
