Essays Below:
Essay #1:
Andrew Jackson is certainly a president that
cannot be ignored by history. Some historians
have described his time as president as the “Era
of Jacksonian Democracy,” a rise in democratic
spirit of our nation and a triumph over the
upper classes. However others have described
the administration of Andrew Jackson as
nothing more than the reign of “King Andrew the
First.”
Evaluate the presidency of Andrew Jackson and
decide which label fits better. Be sure to use at
least three examples from the Jacksonian Era to
support your answer.
Essay #2
What are the three (3) main ideas of the
American System – the economic program that
was adopted in 1816.
Discuss the purpose of each part of the
legislation and how would this economic system
help the nation. Support your answer with
SPECIFIC EVIDENCE.
