AP World History Summer 2015 Assignment All 10th grade Achievers take Advanced Placement (AP) World History, a course which allows students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. The course culminates in a rigorous three hour exam that enables students to demonstrate mastery of college-level course work. Universities across the world recognize AP exam scores in the admission process and/or award credit and placement for qualifying scores. The AP World History course includes six chronological periods, from approximately 8,000 B.C.E. to present. You have started your investigation of course themes and key concepts for the first periods during your 9th grade World History class and your summer assignment is designed to reinforce and build upon that knowledge.
