"Go Gaga in Toronto" (the “Contest”)
I.(a) “Contest Period” starts January 7, 2013 and continues until 11:59 pm on
February 3, 2013, the “Contest Closing Date”. Listeners can enter Go Gaga in
Toronto “the Contest” by sending a text to GAGA and their first name to 870-870
to enter the Contest. A .25 cent charge per text applies.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. For a no purchase entry please hand print your
name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age, Contest
name for which you are entering for a chance to win, and a hand written 100 word
letter explaining why you need you should win and mail it to EZ Rock, 880 Lasalle
Blvd., Sudbury, Ontario, Attn: “Go Gaga in Toronto”. You will receive one (1) entry
into the Contest during the entry period for which your request was postmarked and
received, to be postmarked by the Contest Closing Date. Limit of one (1) mail-in
request per postage stamped envelope per day.
(b) One (1) Random draw, by Rogers Broadcasting Limited ("Rogers")
representative, as represented by EZ Rock, will be made as indicated above from all
the eligible entries received as of 11:59 pm each Draw Date, will be made at
Rogers' office at 880 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, Ontario at approximately 7:45am on
Monday, February 4, 2012.
(c) In the event that a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill testing question,
the prize will be forfeited.
(d) A person may enter the contest as many times as they wish during the Contest
Period. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the
phone number submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The
individual assigned to the phone number for the account associated with the
submitted phone number is considered the authorized account holder. A selected
entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account
holder of the phone number associated with the selected entry. All entries must be
submitted from a valid phone number that may be identified by reverse phone
number search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid
entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
3. Participants will be eligible to win the Grand Prize as listed below:

Two (2) tickets to the Lady Gaga concert in Toronto, Ontario on Friday,
February 8, 2013 with an approximate retail value of $375.00*
Return airfare for two (2) from Sudbury, Ontario to Toronto, Ontario
courtesy of Porter Airlines with an approximate retail value of $800.00
One (1) night hotel stay at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Toronto, Ontario with
an approximate retail value of $350.00
*Due to the nature of the Prize, no alternative Event dates are available. Winner and
guests are solely responsible for transportation to/from the Event. No responsibility is
assumed by Rogers for any factor beyond their reasonable control, or for a cancelled,
delayed, or re-scheduled Event for any reason whatsoever. Rogers is not responsible in
the event winner and/or a guest are refused entry to the Event venue for whatever
reason and any unused portion of the prize(s) will be forfeited.
4. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Rogers Broadcasting reserves the right to
relocate any processed prizewinner from their hotel of choice to an alternate resort
within the chain or to alternate dates, based on availability of space. Rogers
reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the
unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.
5. In order to win, selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited,
mathematical skill testing question, posed by telephone at a mutually convenient
time. Rogers judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the
Contest and the awarding of prizes.
6. Entrants and will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form
before being declared a winner. Traveling companions must also return a signed
release and acknowledgement form before being ticketed, once ticketed no changes
will be permitted.
7. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name,
and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and/or
its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winners consent to their
photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation. All
entries become the property of Rogers.
8. This Contest is open to all Ontario residents living within a 100 km radius of the
105.3 FM EZ Rock (CJMX) studios at 880 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, ON according to
http://ca.maps.yahoo.com/, 18 years of age and older, as of the date of entry, except
employees of Rogers, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and
agents, the Contest suppliers, any persons residing in their respective households
[1] and any immediate family members [2]. The Contest is subject to all applicable
federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
9. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. To
receive a copy of the Contest rules or a for the names of the winners, send a
postage paid, self-addressed envelope bearing sufficient postage to 880 Lasalle
Blvd., Sudbury, Ontario, P3A 1X5, Attn: “Go Gaga in Toronto”.
10. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received, and the
number of eligible callers who called during the Contest Period. Rogers is unaware
of how many entrants there may be.
11. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted
through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may
be disqualified by Rogers. Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late
or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
12. All entries become property of Rogers who assume no responsibility for lost, stolen,
delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the website during the
Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network
or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment,
software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website,
or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any
other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any
material in the Contest. Rogers reserve the right, in their sole discretion; to cancel
or suspend the email portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause
beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper
administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to
undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil
laws, and should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek
remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal
prosecution.
13.nRogers is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of
administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications
will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides Rogers with explicit
permission to do so as indicated on the entry form. Please see our Privacy Policy at
www.rogers.com for full information on the company’s policy towards maintaining the
privacy and security of user information.
14. This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by
Rogers. Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have
received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.
15. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or
counter-offer, except as set out herein.
[1] Household is defined as a separate, self-contained residence which has a unique
municipal address. Proof may be required to be provided to ensure compliance with
this rule. Rogers in its sole discretion will determine whether a household meets this
condition.
[2] Immediate family members are defined as parent(s) (including step parents), spouse
(including common law and same sex), spouse of the father or mother (including
common law and same sex), father-in-law (including common law and same sex),
mother-in-law (including common law and same sex), brother (including step brother
and brother-in-law), sister (including step sister and sister-in-law), children (including
adopted and stepchildren) and grandparents.
