TACC members are the chairs/presidents of the 33 Local Area Agency on Aging
Advisory Councils in the Planning and Service Areas (PSA’s) of California. Line 50 on
California tax forms 540 and 540A (Reference: Revenue and Taxation Code, Section
18773) provides for funding for the Triple-A Council of California. This funding
supports TACC activities which focus on training, leadership development, and
information sharing and advocacy on new and emerging issues of concern to California
Seniors.
Taxpayers eligible for the senior exemption on line 9 (generally, those over 64 years old)
may specify on line 50 a contribution up to the amount on line 9 as a contribution to the
California Seniors Special Fund. You may make the contribution whether or not you are
getting a refund. (This information applies to forms 540 and 540A; for other forms, see
the instructions.) The contribution is then tax-deductible for the 2007 tax year.
