Book Review on Eldest Eldest is a fantasy novel by Christopher Paolini. It is the second of the Inheritance Trilogy, the first being Eragon. After Eragon, a young Dragon Rider, and his dragon Saphira, helped the rebel group Varden defeat an attack by the evil king Galbatorix, he is severely wounded. He defeated a powerful Shade, a sorcerer that has been consumed by evil spirit, but was scarred on his back, and it crippled him badly. Still, he journeyed to the secret cities of the elves to complete his Rider training with an ancient Dragon Rider that had hid from Galbatorix and the rest of the human world. There he learns much in magic and also is miraculously healed of his scar. After a few months, he gets word from the Varden about an attack on them from Galbatorix. Eragon and Saphira immediately fly to help the Varden, but whether or not they defeat them is up for you to find out. This is an excellent book, filled with plot twists and action. When you begin to read, you won’t want to put it down. I suggest all teens to read it. By Conrad Meek
