The INFINITY IMS48 is a range of configurable indoor DC plant systems utilizing standard flexible building blocks to provide a high level of modularity. Correct charging of the batteries with respect to the ambient temperature is controlled adjusting the float Voltage of the batteries with respect to the temperature measured at the battery via thermal probes. The IMS48 comprises of standard cost effective modules / units each based around common parts to enable system configuration between 100 Amps and 600 Amps capacity. Mid battery string Voltage measurement is available as an option. This results in competitive system solutions with flexibility to suit individual customer’s needs and short lead times due to the use of standard parts. DC Power Configuration The IMS48 utilises LINEAGE POWER high efficiency rectifiers along with adaptive rectifier management software to provide a highly reliable DC power system with minimal operational costs. DC power system options are available with a total capacity of 100A, 200A, 400A and 600A including system redundancy and battery recharge capability. The IMS48 incorporates the LINEAGE POWER Galaxy Pulsar Plus system controller, providing monitoring and control of system components including rectifiers, converters, and distribution modules via a multi-drop RS485 digital communications bus. System status, parameters, settings, and alarm thresholds can be viewed and configured from the controller’s front panel display. Assignment and configuration of alarm inputs and output relays can be performed from a laptop computer or by remote access through a network connection to the World Wide Web (internet) or your enterprise network (intranet). Basic Operation The INFINITY IMS48 Power System contains all necessary facilities for providing a positive earthed DC supply to Telecommunications Equipment. This DC supply is backed up by batteries located inside the same cabinet or on external battery stands. In normal operation the Power System rectifies the AC mains and provides a positive earthed DC supply to the loads connected. When the AC-mains fail the loads are fed from the connected batteries until the battery voltage has reached a programmable level where the batteries are disconnected to protect them from damage due to deep-discharge. Optional contactors in the Power Distribution may disconnect load groups prior to reaching the LVD (Low Voltage Disconnect) level. The DC power system comprises of a Power Distribution Unit (PDU), System controller and rectifiers along with batteries. The PDU incorporates the DC distribution breakers for the system loads as well as battery connection and isolation breakers. A contactor is included and current shunt for monitoring and protection of the batteries against over charge / discharge. A second contactor may be installed as an option for non essential load disconnection in the case of AC mains failure thereby extending the backup for essential loads. There are options for additional DC distribution ad AC distribution depending on specific customer / site requirements. All systems include the LINEAGE POWER Galaxy Pulsar Plus system controller providing sophisticated monitoring and control of not only the DC power system but the capability for complete site management with options for monitoring door alarms, smoke alarm, fire suppression equipment control, generator fuel levels as well as customised alarm options. Communication with the LINEAGE POWER Galaxy Pulsar Plus system controller may be via front panel controls, local connection of a lap top or Ethernet interface – TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, HTTP, SMTP support. DC power is provided utilising LINEAGE POWER high efficiency EPS and CP rectifiers with individual rectifier capacities of 800W, 1800W, 2000W and 2725W.
