Job Description Senior Analytical Scientist We have an enthusiastic and dynamic team developing highly advanced and novel battery technology. We have a position for a Senior Analytical Scientist, working under the supervision of the Basic Research Team Leader, to assist in the fundamental understanding of existing battery materials and the development of new materials for application in energy storage devices including Li-ion batteries. We are looking for someone with a strong materials analysis and characterisation background, preferably up to PhD level, combined with research laboratory experience. The work will be part inhouse laboratory based in conjunction with conducting a range of materials characterisation techniques at external research facilities. The role will also offer the opportunity for the individual to identify new classes of material for energy storage and analytical techniques for existing battery materials. The objective of this research role is to support the advancement of the existing core anode technology and the development of next generation energy storage technologies and their associated intellectual property. Previous experience with batteries and lithium rechargeable batteries in particular would be an advantage but is not essential. Being adaptable and having the ability to work well within a team are also important. Nexeon Limited is a spin-off from Imperial College London and is based in South Oxfordshire.
