Onemig pressured to abandon House bid?
BY BUTCH GUNIO
MARIVELES, Bataan—Former actor-turned-businessman Juan Miguel
“Onemig” Bondoc claimed that he is being ganged-up by politicians, either close
or sympathetic to his possible opponent,
hard pressing him to abandon his congressional bid and instead run as vice
governor.
In the early part of this year, the former
actor originally decided to run as vice governor of Bataan in tandem with gubernatorial aspirant and incumbent Vice Governor Bonjong Pascual.
Bondoc, in fact, had already attended
many affairs in the entire province where
he was declaring his intention to run vice
governor in the coming mid-term elections.
+RZHYHUWKHRQDQGRIISROLWLFDOXQL¿cation talks, which would dislodge him as
vice governor in the ticket should it mate-

In a more alarming incident, a lawyeradviser of Bondoc got surprised when a
man suddenly approached him in his secret house in Pampanga and told him to
tell Bondoc to drop his bid as congressman of Bataan.
The lawyer said it was a little bit alarming since not many people know his house

Bondoc said he already has his mind
set to run for congressman.

The college scholars of the

As this developed, 3rd District Board Member Trina Dizon,

the lumber to a home in this city, owned by Bagac
town Mayor Ramil Del Rosario.
About 1,000 board feet of illegally sawn lumber
were also found on the front lawn of the house being
constructed for Del Rosario in this city.

Police
intercept
Hermosa
‘hot logs’
BY FROILAN E. MAGTOTO
CAMP
OLIVAS,
Pampanga--Police authorities and barangay
officials intercepted a
closed van loaded with
lumber believed to be illegal acquired in Hermosa,
Bataan at barely past midnight over the weekend.
A police report identified the driver of the van
as Manuel Rizalde, Jr.,
50, of Sinagtala, Batasan
Hills, Quezon City.
Police said that, earlier,
they received an information from barangay officials of Mabiga, in Hermosa that an undetermined
volume of lumber will
be transported out of the
said barangay on board a
white van.
Hermosa chief of
police, Chief Insp. Ferdinand DG Aguilar, said
that upon receipt of the
information, he immediately formed a team and
proceeded to Mabiga Barangay Hall to coordinate
with Barangay Captain
Laureano Manliquez.
While at the barangay
hall, they spotted a van
approaching from Sitio
Gugo of said barangay,
a few minutes past midnight. The vehicle was
eventually stopped, police
said.
When searched, police
said, they found pieces
of cut lumber in different
sizes with undetermined
market value.
Police said, Rizalde’s
helper, identified as Narren Maravilla, 24, a resident of Palar, Taguig City,
was also placed under
custody.
Both Rizalde and Maravilla, together with the
lumber, were brought to
the Hermosa Municipal
Police Station.
Police said they are
preparing the documents
for the turn-over of the
seized lumber to the Community Environment and
Natural Resources Office
in Dinalupihan, Bataan. ł

Kambilan, not kampihan
Pampanga politicians have had
enough of the bickering and mudslinging
between political camps, reason behind
the establishment of a local political party that straddles all political affiliations.
Last Monday, Pampanga Governor
Lilia Pineda led the launching and mass
oath-taking of members of the Kapanalig
at Kambilan ding Memalen Pampanga
(Kambilan), which boasts of more than
7,000-strong provincial, municipal, city
and barangay officials all over the province.
Under the Kambilan umbrella, party
members are discouraged from waging
black propaganda against their opponents even those who are not registered
members of the provincial party. The
new political party is being run by compassion and the same “care-for-oneanother” policy of the Pineda administration in Pampanga.
There had been too much political
bickering in the country that is backpedalling the Philippines to oblivion and the
establishment of a party that is centered
on respect to all--party members or not-is a welcome development.
Kambilan members who have heard
of Pineda’s statement during the launching should not, therefore, use the political party as their stronghold to belittle or
intimidate their opponents in the next
election but rather take their affiliation to
the party as their personal oaths to foster
friendly and clean competitions whenever the elections begin.
Pineda and all the stalwarts of Kambilan should also be vigilant against any
member who will take advantage of their
membership to personally attack their
rivals in politics. Since they have been
successful in unifying many political
groups under one banner, may they be
successful, too, in encouraging everyone to shoulder a common goal of mutual respect.
Kambilan, which means armor, should
stand up to its name--to protect the interest of the common people whom its
members are entrusted to serve.

Heaven and a Movie
“What is important, he said, is that people have one another”
As I was watchinga movie on cable TV very recently, I found myself
probing my mind as to what my
idea of heaven really is.
The movie is about a scientist
who does not believe in God but
who is ardently seeking what is true
in the real world and in the space
beyond it.
In the course of her work, she
By A Pilgrim
comes across an extra-terrestrial
sound pattern that is actually a
do-it-yourself guide in building a multi-billion dollar structure that will enable man to meet much higher forms of life
in outer space. Leaders of nations and governments, scientists
as well as men of faith express interest in the outcome of the
experiment that has become an arena of power and intrigue.
The heroine ultimately gets to man the IPV (I take that
this means interplanetary vehicle) and she did experience
travelling through dimensions and meet her long-dead father
whom she asked if all generations of beings get to this most
indescribably beautiful place to which they have been transformed. The father said not all. What is important, he said, is
that people have one another.
I could not remember what else he said because my own
Out of the
Depths
mind was reacting to the question the heroine posed. I knew
that I believe that somewhere in the vastness of the universe
there is a place that is more beautiful than words could ever
express, that we could reach that place not as we are but as
new beings with transformed bodies, that in that place there
is a Supreme Being who knows us and watches each one of us.
Towards the end of the movie, the heroine undergoes a
much challenging inquest that overturns her unbelief towards
faith. She is asked to present concrete proof of her experience
but she could not. She could only say that what she has come
WRVHHLVWKDWPDQLVVRWLQ\DQGLQVLJQL¿FDQWEXWUDUHDQGVR
precious and she could only ask the world to take her word on
this. In faith.
I entirely agree with our heroine’s insight. We are just
specks in a world lost in space but we are ever precious to the
Supreme Being out ther e. A very humbling thought but also a
very consoling one. In this world we have each other but in the
end there is God Who will take us to His everlasting place in
heaven somewhere out there.
By the way, the movie is concluded with the idea that the
IPV never left earth at all but machines have recorded from it
18 unexplainable hours of static.

Of dreams and being young
“Change, like adulthood, may mean the coming of full vigour and development or growth, but it also
means accepting and working on the confusions of responsibility for one’s self and for others.”
Isn’t it an irony that when the many
things that have been happening
lately in this country of ours do not
somehow offer hope and optimism,
God again uses a “kid” to provide us
the needed inspiration to keep us going into the right path.
Thirteen year old Filipino Cris
“Kesz” Valdez was awarded this year’s
International Children’s Peace Prize
at a glittering ceremony in The Hague
on Wednesday, where he received
a 100,000 euro ($130,000) prize,
which, according to him, he will donate to a certain foundation that
caters to the welfare of the Filipino
street kids.
This column of mine today is dedicated to all the Pinoy street kids who
never give up hoping and working for a
better and brighter tomorrow, no matter how dark the “now” may seem to
be, to Cris Valdez who transcends and
surpasses the essence of being a “kid”,
and to those other people who are like
“Kesz” in mind, in heart, and in soul.

Andrew Matthews wrote in one of
his bestsellers: “Dreams are the seedlings of reality.”
But how could that be true if the

Sophie Tucker, “the last of the redhot mamas,” is famous for having said
“I’ve tried poor and I’ve tried rich; and

tried young and I’ve tried “old” (in spirit); and young is better.” Now combine
the two and the question is: Is old and
rich better than young and poor?
I once heard my neighbour telling
his son, “I am now old and reasonably
rich; I was once young and very poor.
Will I abandon my prosperity to be
young even if poor again? Of course!”
Now, wouldn’t you?

More than 20 years ago, students of the then University of the Philippines-San Fernando (UPSF) fought for the
existence of the premier state university in Pampanga.
The decades-long battle won them a piece of land inside
Clark Freeport where UP Clark campus will rise.
Now, UPSF alumni are up for another battle. This
time, for the raising of “The Oblation” statue for UP
Clark.
Pio Manuelito Muego, chairman of Project Oblation,

networking sites, have formalized their bid to put up The
Oblation.
UPSF alumni members are now at 1,000 and counting.
Muego said The Oblation symbolizes the struggle of
UP students and educators themselves in uplifting the
Filipino spirit.
According to internet site Wikipedia, the Oblation
(Filipino: Pahinungod, Oblasyon) is a concrete statue by
Filipino artist Guillermo E. Tolentino which serves as
the iconic symbol of the University of the Philippines.
It depicts a man facing upward with arms outstretched,

Under Project Oblation, UPSF alumni, including
Muego, started a fund-raising drive that has gathered
donations from local executives and businessmen.
The lowest pledge is P10,000.
Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda has
pledged P300, 00 while former Governor Estelito Mendoza has promised to donate P100,000.
The UPSF alumni have awarded donors The Oblation statuettes during a dinner party on Saturday at the

But more than raising The Oblation at Clark, Muego

Tick in man’s ear gives him tinnitus 6 habits for
When a 63-year-old
man went to a hospital in Switzerland to
report a buzzing in his
ear, the staff got more
than they bargained
for when they looked
inside. A tick was attached to his eardrum,
and it possibly got
there with the help of a
friendly feline.

that the tick has been
removed, according to
a brief report in the Sept. 20 issue of
the New England Journal of Medicine. While it’s uncommon for ticks
to make their way into the ear canal,
emergency physicians say insects

RUL¿FH
“Insects in the ear are relatively
common so this case is not very surprising,” said Dr. Donald Keamy Jr.,
a pediatric otolaryngologist — ear,
nose and throat doctor — at MassaFKXVHWWV(\HDQG(DU,Q¿UPDU\³$
case report like this is likely one of
many other cases that were not reported.”
The report said the man visited a
hospital in Bern, Switzerland, while
suffering from itching and “bubbling tinnitus,” a kind of buzzing, in
the ear. “Technically, this is not the
typical high-pitched noise that is
heard by patients with hearing loss,”
said Keamy, who was not involved
with the case.
An evaluation of his right ear
revealed that a tick had attached
itself to the eardrum. The tick had
probably caused the buzzing sound
through its contact with the eardrum, Keamy explained.
The tick species is a type that’s often found on cats in Europe.
The hospital removed the tick by
numbing the man’s ear and then using a suction device to suck it out.
The tick can spread Lyme disease,
but tests later revealed that the man
didn’t get infected; he recovered
without further problems.

review,” the report stated, “the patient remembered having had close
contact with his domestic cat the
evening before the symptoms began.”
Keamy said the tick could have
bitten the man inside his ear, but
probably wouldn’t have caused permanent damage.
Dr. Michael Lanigan, an attending physician in emergency medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical
Center in New York City, offered this
advice for people who live in or visit
places where ticks live: “The best
way to prevent tick-borne disease is
to check yourself and others — particularly your children — for ticks
frequently.”
Keamy added that it’s smart to
wear long-sleeved clothing while
you’re in wooded areas where ticks
live. Treating your dog or cat to keep
ticks at bay is another good idea, he
said. “If you believe you have had a
tick bite,” he said, “see your primary
care physician to discuss possible
antibiotic treatment.”--health.com
Doctors should be role models on healthy living- PMA
MANILA-- The Philippine Medical Association
(PMA) had reiterated its
call for doctors to stop
smoking as doctors are
supposed to set examples
on healthy living.
PMA chairman for Media Affairs Dr. Mike Aragon
said that physicians are
duty-bound to become role
models so they should not
be smoking which has been
proven to kill.
“As role models on
health, doctors should set
a good example to our people. It is our duty to protect
and save lives, therefore,
we should act what we
preach. Smoking kills,”
he said in an interview.
But Aragon said that
no penalty awaits doctors
who would refuse to heed
the call because the PMA
considers smokers not as
criminals but as victims.
“We are silently referring
them to smoke cessation
clinics. Smoking is an addiction and most frequently, a smoker needs professional help to quit. Kaya
wala kaming sanction na
ipinapataw,” he said.
To help doctors quit
smoking, Aragon assured
that the PMA refers them
to smoke cessation clinics.
The group had pushed
for the passage of the sin
tax reform bill to raise the
prices of cigarettes, thus,
resulting in the reduction
of tobacco consumption in
the Philippines.
“Second hand and third
hand smoke equally kills
people. Let’s raise sin taxes
to discourage people to
stop smoking and to prevent our children from getting hooked on this deadly
and useless habit,” Aragon
said. (PNA)
Eat eggs while pregnant to lower child’s risk of illness, researchers say
Pregnant women should eat plenty
of eggs and lean meat to reduce their
unborn child’s risk of high blood pressure and mental health problems in
adulthood, researchers claim.
A nutrient called choline, which
is found in meat, eggs, beans and
broccoli, could lower the risk of the
children developing stress-related illnesses and chronic conditions later in
life.
In future, women could even be
given choline tablets in the same way
folic acid is prescribed today to lower
the risk of children being born with
defects like spina bifida, experts said.
The researchers from Cornell University studied changes in “epigenetic
markers” – chemicals which attach
to our DNA and influence how our
genes work – in a group of 26 pregnant women in their third trimester.
Epigenetic markers are important
because they determine whether individual genes are “switched on”, meaning they work properly, or “switched
off”, making them completely inert.
Some of the women were assigned
to take in 480mg of choline per day
through their diet and supplements
– an amount just above the recommended dose – while others were
given 930mg per day.
The larger dose caused more
chemicals to be added to the women’s
DNA, altering genes that regulate
hormone activity in the body, researchers found.
Genes that regulate the production of cortisol, a hormone
previously linked to lifelong
risk of stress and metabolic
disorders, were turned down
so that levels of it in the babies’
blood were 33 per cent lower.
Prof Eva Pressman, who
led the study, said mothers
who suffer from anxiety and
depression – conditions which
raise cortisol levels – could
benefit from taking choline as
a protective measure.
She said : “One day we
might prescribe choline in the
same way we prescribe folate to all
pregnant women. It is cheap and has
virtually no side effects at the doses
provided in this study.
“While our results won’t change
practice at this point, the idea that
maternal choline intake could essentially change fetal genetic expression
into adulthood is quite novel.”

Get Cooking
Dining out occasionally is a
lovely way to spend an evening, but don’t make a habit of it.
The secret ingredient at many
restaurants is butter and excessive oil — in other words, fat.
Studies have repeatedly shown
a relationship between number
of meals eaten out and greater
weight gain. Cooking your own meals helps you not only control the ingredients in your meals but also helps you manage
the portions.

Get Active and Stay Active
Physical activity, be it training for a
half marathon or walking home with
your groceries, is important for losing weight and keeping it off. Going
to the gym is great, but don’t skip out
on everyday movement that helps
burn calories — take the stairs, walk
your dog, vacuum vigorously, bike to dinner, garden.
Practice Portion Control
Portion control is essential for taking off weight and keeping it
off. Healthy foods, like nuts, eaten in
mass quantities will still pack on the
pounds. Moderation is the key for a
healthy lifestyle.
One food where we tend to go overboard with portions is pasta; a protion of cooked pasta is one cup, about
the size of a light bulb. I would go
with whole wheat pasta too. You can
have your cake and eat it too, but just
not everyday and not the whole cake.
Keep Track of Your Eats
Keeping a tally of all the calories you consume in a day can help you stay on track.
Many studies have shown that dieters
who keep food journals lose more weight.
If you have made it to you ideal weight,
keeping a food journal is way to ensure
you maintain your healthy weight.

CAMP MACABULOS,
Tarlac City—The governor of Tarlac led on
Monday the observance
of the 114th birth anniversary of local hero
General

showcase and celebrate
heroism. It is also in this
sense, that we also celebrate the birthday of
a true leader and hero,
who has a very distinguished role in our history,” Governor Victor

Yap also praised the
accomplishments of the
TPPO under the leadership of Senior Supt. Alfred Corpus.
“Camp Macabulos now
is the envy of all Central

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUN 21)
It is a good time to ask for a raise in pay or to pay off any outstanding loan. You tend to be generous
with money and material goods--careful. Money can become available for higher education and travel.
Gradually, reevaluate your worldly possessions and liquidate what you no longer need. This allows for the
room you will need when the new things come to you. You may take a more intellectual interest in foreign
cultures, history and traditional customs. Studies, especially philosophy, religion, law and teaching, are
more inviting now. Technical or experimental matters are highlighted. You enjoy activities with groups and
organizations or entertainment with friends and tonight may be a fun evening at a new place.

CANCER (JUN 22- JUL 22)
Today is a time of smooth sailing for you--all opposition seems to have melted away. A new employee
depends on your guidance from time to time. You are kind to show the way. Positive energies will be felt
strongly. Involving yourself in theatrical work later today may mean you study acting or you teach acting.
Dancing is also included in this activity and with so many people enjoying the art of dancing the studio
where you work or practice may become quite popular. A luncheon or engagement over the weekend
will be a plus for your business. You may want to buy a new outfit for the occasion. Personal interaction
with people this evening will also be helpful to your business so be sure to follow through with any evening
activities.
LEO (JUL 23 - AUG. 23)
You may have intuitive insight into business or professional affairs and organize new methods or restructuring. The energies present are known for being quite lucky--you automatically draw things to you, such as
money, fortunate circumstances, people and objects of beauty. If you are willing to relax and just let life
flow to you as it will, you could be in for excellent opportunities. Personal encounters will bring surprises
today. These surprises may be quite disruptive, or they may bring exciting changes to your life, depending
on how restrictive your relationships are just now. New encounters are also likely to bring surprises or
upsets. The planetary energies now may guide you toward uncovering the undiscovered. New people
teach you more about you.
LIBRA (SEP. 23 - OCT. 23)
There is increased work responsibility today. Initially, you may be given unpleasant work or working conditions. You will have the opportunity to make changes soon. After work, you and a friend may spend time
in creative intellectual pursuits for relaxation, perhaps the game of Trivial Pursuit. You may desire greater
material security now. There are opportunities to become increasingly resourceful and find new uses for
outworn or discarded things. You hunt for ways to regenerate wealth and build security. You may need to
deal with emotional issues regarding law, ethics, prejudice, education and social customs. Your social life
can be happy and stimulating. You meet interesting, dynamic people and have new romantic opportunities.
SCORPIO (OCT. 24- NOV. 21)
Today is a fortunate time for business contracts, sales and negotiations. You have opportunities for favorable partnerships or marriage. You can find a special friend who will share in your adventures and will
bring you luck and safety. You can benefit from all interpersonal and public relations, social contracts, legal
affairs and public speaking appearances. If you have been planning to move, this is a good time for it.
Use necessary care with sharp tools or ladders. You have a great chance to increase your circle of close
friends now and may gather things for a camping trip or group sports competition this weekend. Take the
time to laugh this evening. Children are important to your time tonight and laughter and fun interactions
can be enjoyed.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 22 - DEC. 21)
Initially, this is a time of transition from private to public responsibilities--you will have less time to spend
with family and old friends. As you take on more responsibility in your profession, you will tend to choose
partners and associates who share some of your goals and objectives. You tend to make more contacts
with older, more experienced people and those in position of authority. Your sense of justice intensifies
as you become more sensitive to the needs and rights of others. You will give serious consideration to all
legally binding contracts and agreements to assure yourself that they meet your requirements. Gradually,
you will learn even better negotiating skills than what you already have and this will benefit you at work
and at home.
CAPRICORN (DEC. 22 - JAN 19)
It will be quite easy to bring about the changes you have been wanting lately. You will see success in areas
where you did not think you could become accomplished. It would be wise to seek a financial counselor
as long as it is someone that you know has been helpful to many people. Get references, check around,
take your time but get started today. You are feeling particularly optimistic and you should take on an added
feeling of confidence. You are doing all the right things and may want to drop that shaky feeling that you
might not succeed. Hey, mistakes are the way we have of getting better. Tonight may be a time out sort of
night for you. If the skies are clear, check out the stars. An upbeat movie or a walk with a friend is good.
AQUARIUS (JAN. 20 - FEB. 18)
Today is favorable for involvement in advanced ideas in information, communications and transportation.
Your thinking tends to be inspired by intuitive ideas just now. Your superiors tend to give you their approval
and trust. You may take more pleasure in your professional work as well. Caution is needed in signing
contracts and written agreements. You may develop an intellectual interest in psychology, mysticism, art,
healing or poetry. Freedom of speech and access to information is most important to you now. You may
take an interest in old and unconventional ideas. At times, you may experience great intuitive insight.
Through careful organization, you can gradually make more time for family and build good relationships.
PISCES (FEB. 19 - MAR. 20)
Personal charm increases now. You tend to take more initiative in social situations and teamwork in the
workplace. You are apt to give more attention to improving your personal appearance. You may seek selfexpression through music, or other artistic means. This can be a day of improved communication with
friends, groups and organizations. Interests turn toward scientific and humanitarian thoughts. You may give
or receive advice and you may have sudden intuitive ideas. With the extra courage you have now, you can
ask for a raise in pay. You can earn more or spend to improve your security and comfort. Activities within your
social organization(s) tend to be oriented to humanitarian, technological or scientific pursuits.

Guiao said the Kapampangan
should expect a very strong provincial government focused on the welfare of the people once the mother

“The Pinedas are no longer neophyte in public service whether executive or legislative function, so we
can entrust the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to Delta,” Guiao stated.
Guiao, who is now on his third

“The potential of the province especially the quarry industry is limitless, I hope the next vice governor

he said.

Recently, Lazatin and
the Nepomucenos, including Councilor Bryan Nepomuceno, have formalized

Pamintuan said Lazatin was “unpredictable” in

He recalled the 1998

asked him to run for Congress but did not support
him.
“I was junked. He left
me alone. Maybe that’s the
reason I did not win in that
elections,” Pamintuan said.
Crucial battle
Despite the alliance of
the so-called political pillars of the city, Mayor Pamintuan said he is ready to
face them.
“I am ready to face anybody without fear,” Pamintuan said.
Pamintuan viewed the
alliance as his “crucial

reign of the two families in
Angeles City.
“These families are

Pamintuan added that

ways remind me that greediness could lead a person
to his own destruction, much more his demise. Allow
me to share these stories:
Greed over Money
They tell a story of a man whose soul was controlled
by the devil of greed. He had a lot of money, but wanted more and more. Because he was afraid that one day
thieves would come and steal all his money, the man
had a gigantic burglar-proof safe put into his cellar.
The door was made of iron and cleverly hidden, so

of money in a lottery and was very excited. He carried
the money into the safe and in his haste he forgot to
take the key from the outside of the lock. That door always locked automatically...and it did this time, too...
and the key was on the outside. After enjoying some
time with his money, the man wanted to go out but
couldn’t. He screamed and shouted for help, but no
sounds could ever get out of the safe.
The family looked for him, and so did the police,

had made the safe…and he assured them that a spring

enough, there was the key on the outside. They opened
the safe and found a very dead miser, extending his
dead arms over the money.

farm. He wanted more land. Once, a stranger came by,
apparently a man of means and power, and offered to
give him all the land he could walk around in one day,
on condition that he would be back at the spot from
which he started by sundown. Early the next morning the boy set out, without eating any breakfast or

meant he would have to walk 60 miles before sundown. By noon, he had covered thirty miles, he did
not stop for food or drink. His legs grew heavier and

the sun dropping toward the horizon. Only a few minutes left. He gathered all his energies for that one last
effort. He staggered across the line, just in time. The
he reached for his heart and fell down on the ground.
All the land he got was a piece six feet by two. He died

façade, however, each tourist, upon entering the old
Kapampangan house, gasps at the richness of art and
presence of antiquity at every inch of the grand residence turned restaurant. At Abe’s farm, dining can
be pre-arranged and packages can be obtained to suit
your budget from the simplest yet delicately titillating
the imagination by its name “Sikretu ng Maria,” to the
lavish feast, laid out on the long tables/buffet, you can
imagine. Here at Abe’s Farm, touring the place starts
you at the top and by viewing the scenery down below
of about 2 stories, the spiral steel staircase is temptation enough to discover what lies hidden underneath
the natural canopy of more than 50 year old trees. A
glimpse of the mountain province set-up surprises
your walk through the garden, complete with wood
carvings and sculptures, typical in the highlands. The
pathway leads you out at the exterior of Abe’s Farm
right where you started the tour of the place. As an
added feature, there is also a museum to further a
tourist’s appreciation of Kapampangan culture, history and tradition.
Another day of discovery—what makes Pampanga
sizzle aside from the sizzling plates in the likes of Aling Lucing and numerous Grills. But, then again, it
will take another day of dreaming away.‡

MOCHA USON
Ipinagmamalaki ni Mocha...
‘Hindi ako bayaran, hindi ako pokpok!’
Isa sa pinaka-daring sa showbiz si Mocha
Uson.
pag-iisip mo.”
So, kami, we’re just doing our job.
“This is part of our job, nae-enjoy namin
na ipinapakita namin ang hard work.
“Nagwu-workout kami, hindi kami kumakain ng
rice.
“So, ipinapakita lang namin yung mga pinaghirapan namin sa katawan namin.”
May nasaktan o nasampal na ba si Mocha dahil sa
pambabastos sa kanya ng mga lalake?
Sabi niya, “A, wala pa naman.
“Pag sinasabihan ako ng pokpok, sinasabi ko na,
‘Hindi ako nagpapabayad kaya hindi po ako pokpok.’
“Hindi naman ako nao-offend, kasi hindi naman
totoo yun.”

babaero at
Dati pang intriga kay Xian Lim yung
ungentleman siya at nang-iiwan ng babae
sa ere. Noong bago pa lang siya, may
nanira sa kanyang kamag-anak ng isang
babaing niloko n’ya di umano. Yung babae, supposed to be ay iniwan niya sa US
Now, according to him, mas naiintindiah na niya’ng mga intriga. Tanggap
sarili.
“Whatever kung anuman ’yung sinasabi nila na negative, sa kanila na ’yun.
Everyone’s entitled naman, eh. Pero
siyempre, the second time around, titingnan ko ’yung mga negative na ’yun and
make something better out of it.
“Hindi lang naman puro negative, eh,
may mga positive rin naman,” sabi ni
Xian.
Wala pa naman daw siyang masasabing
grabeng intrigang pinagdaanan niya and
“Siyempre, sa Twitter, you can say
anything, so talagang marami kang mababasa. Ang pinakagrabe, I would say ay
’yung mga hindi totoo.
“I don’t know, siguro, ’yung pinakagrabe is ’yung masungit daw ako. Mukha
daw akong masungit. Eh, hindi naman
ako masungit, ’di ba? Siguro, nami-misunderstand nila.”
Hindi rin daw siya pumapatol sa mga
haters and bashers sa Twitter.
“Wala lang, ignore. Kasi ’pag nag-reply
ka, kasi bakit, bakit ka pa magre-reply,
eh ’yun ang gusto nilang sabihin?”
Ngayon pa nga lang daw
siya nag-e-enjoy sa buhay
niya dahil dumarami raw ang
friends niya. Dati raw kasi
ay konti lang ang kaibigan
niya and since napasok siya
sa showbiz ay nagkaroon
na raw siya ng maraming
kaibigan.
“Siyempre it takes
time. Kasi iba naman siyempre ’yung mga kaibigan mo for 10 years,
ganyan. But siyempre ngayon, I’m getting
to know more people, I’m getting to hang
out with sina Enchong (Dee), sina Maja
(Salvador), Kim (Chiu). Mas nae-expose
ako sa kanilang lahat.”
Magkakasama sina Xian, Kim,
Maja and Enchong sa bagong teleserye
ng ABS-CBN na Ina, Kapatid, Anak
kaya naman hindi kataka-takang
maging close sila especially Xian and
Kim na matagal-tagal na ring nali-link
sa isa’t isa.

Hayden Koh magsasabog na
naman ng lagim sa showbiz?
HAYDEN KHO
So far, may
mga naka-line up nang mga projects kay
Hayden. Sinasabi na nagbago na raw si
Hayden at tuluyan nang tumino.
Legendary na yung pagmamarkang
kamanyakan kay Hayden Kho dahil sa
mga ginawa niyang panglilinlang sa mga
babaing nakarelasyon niya.

Sa interview during the contract
signing, sinabi ni Hayden that he is
very excited. Inihahanda na raw niya
ang sarili niya sa pamamagitan ng one
on one workshop.
Sana nga at marami pang sana!
