Bring your file with you to every session – there will be lots of handouts and notes. So, get
organised and file them there and then to make your revision a whole lot easier!
Try to brush up on the characters, text and context mentioned before the session if you
can. The key references in brown will be referred to in the sessions and could also be
researched outside of the classroom.
It is expected that you will spend a minimum of 3 hours working on your coursework,
reading around the literature of love through the ages and completing independent
study outside of the classroom each week.

Keep reading a range of prose, poetry and drama texts that explore the theme of love.
Record these texts in your reading log. You will be expected to show your reading log in
the individual mentoring sessions. Reading a range of wider texts across periods and
genre will support your comparison to the unseen texts in the examination.
I’d strongly recommend that you try to get a copy of this book
from Amazon too!
