Reading a textbook is great. Computer and Mathematical Sciences Using what you’ve learned to program your own video game is That’s just what members of the Columbia College Computer Science Club recently did, putting the skills and knowledge they gained in their classroom studies to use by creating video game versions of classic board games. This type of practical, hands-on application is typical of the opportunities you’ll find across all of the computer and mathematical science majors at Columbia College, where you’ll develop essential career skills and knowledge while enjoying the best of a well-rounded liberal arts education. www.ccis.edu/departments/CISS Admissions Office, 1001 Rogers St., Columbia, MO 65216 www.ccis.edu • (573) 875-7352 • admissions@ccis.edu Majors eer gin n eE Sys tem s So ftw ar st aly An Risk An aly s greater careers y r o at istr Data n i base Adm Pro gram mer Get involved You can take your learning and resume to the next level by participating in student organizations at Columbia College. • Computer Science Club • Mathematics Club • Kappa Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society • Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computer Science Honor Society or kA dm inis trator Statis tici an t r Actua Computer Information Systems (A.S., B.S.) This program will provide you with a rigorous theoretical background in information systems along with the practical skills you need to go on to graduate school or pursue your career.
