The Florida Panthers have taken the NHL by storm having captured the Eastern Conference
Championship in 1996. The Panthers have their roots at Glacier Ice and Snow Arena. The arena
(formerly known as GoldCoast Ice Arena) served as the Official Practice Facility for the team for six
years up to 1999.

Future Expansion Plans:
The facility plans to add a second studio size ice surface within the footprint of the
existing building in 2003-04. This improvement will complete the Glacier Ice and Snow
name. Plans call for a 85 x 53 refrigerated ice surface and full restaurant to
accommodate the growing skating programs and most of all add another dimension to
the existing facility…
Real Snow !
Our highly skilled operation will deliver for the first time in the southeast U.S. real snow
for children. This ice surface will provide a snowball area, sledding area, snowman
area and a children’s snow slide for cool fun!
This unique addition to our already successful ice arena operations will provide
continuous media events and local feature articles about the Glacier facility.

Glacier Ice and Snow Arena offers professionally planned programming from youth
hockey to senior figure skating lessons. With people of varying demographics utilizing

The interest and participation in our youth hockey program has been the foundation of
Glacier Ice and Snow’s rapid growth. Our popular youth league has over 200
participants, ages 5-17, in four different divisions. Additionally, there are over 100
players who participate in Glacier Bears travel hockey program. League games are
well attended by parents, friends and local hockey fans.
The Glacier figure skating program is the oldest and most successful in Florida. Many
of our group lesson students graduate to freestyle level skating and with the help of our
gold medal coaching staff, compete in the national competition for their age group.
Glacier Ice and Snow Arena is proud to acknowledge many of our skaters that have
placed in the United states regional competition for the past twelve years.
The Glacier facility is in the business of cool ice skating fun and frequently produces
