Course Description and Scope
The course seeks to expose the student to the organizations that play a pivotal role in international trade and business, the motivation of the parties in engaging in a particular transaction, the various techniques of structuring business transactions, the negotiation and drafting of international commercial contracts and the legal documentation involved in international business transactions.
The course will also examine the legal issues which arise in relation to the international trade in goods, doing business overseas, international transfer of technology and international on-line business. It is expected that at the end of the course the student will be familiar with the important legal issues that shape and influence global business decision-making.
The detailed course outline will vary from occasion to occasion and will be confirmed at the commencement of the course.
