Education Program Coordinator (Education Librarian until 2013)
Coordinate the library
instructional programs, including Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM), Health Literacy and Patient
Education/Consumer Health Information. Serve on the MS1, MS2 and MS3/4 Curriculum
Committees. Serve as Course Director for Literature and Medicine elective. Facilitate Colleges
ethics sessions for first and second year medical students. Participate in Office of Minority
Student Affairs’ education and outreach initiatives (HPREP, Pre-Med Conference, etc.). Provide
outreach, consultation, in-depth reference, and literature searches in support of campus clinical,
research and education initiatives. Liaison to several campus entities including the Colleges, the
Department of Clinical Sciences - Division of Ethics , the Department of Pediatrics, the Office of
Medical Education, and the UT Southwestern Austin Programs. 2003 to present
