SEI combat support Serving the Canadian Forces and more than 50 other military forces around the world SEI Industries Ltd. has a long and proud tradition of providing the Canadian Forces (CF) with fuel and water combat support systems to sustain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operations. Since the early 1990s, SEI has been the Canadian Forces primary supplier of products that transfer, transport, meter, filter and store fuels, water and chemicals. These products offer mobile liquid handling solutions that are Canadian-engineered and manufactured. Operation QUADRANT – Canadian Forces mission in Kosovo uses SEI equipment. Operation GRIZZLY – SEI provided secondary containment berms for fuel supplies that keep equipment and resources working throughout the G8 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta. Operation MAPLE LEAF – Canadian Forces hosted annual NATO air forces for joint exercises, using SEI’s FSDS and HPARS fuel systems, in Cold Lake, Alberta. Operation NARWHAL – This operation consisted of two simulated scenarios (a threat to oil production and a major airline disaster in the far North). SEI supplied fuel bladders and FARE (forward area refueling equipment) for this operation. Operation PODIUM – Canadian Forces delivered safety and security operations throughout the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. SEI’s HPARS was used to refuel Griffin helicopters that would negate terrorist threats. DART is a military organization designed to deploy rapidly anywhere in the world for incidents ranging from natural disasters to complex humanitarian emergencies. SEI supports the DART teams with its Onion tank, FSDS and WSDS systems. JOINT NUCLEAR, BIOLOGICAL and CHEMICAL DEFENCE (JNBCD) is a Canadian Forces deployable nuclear, biological and chemical defence response team. JNBCD use SEI products such as its vehicle decontamination system. ALERT is a Canadian Forces Base that uses SEI fuel systems to store diesel and jet fuel. It is the most northerly Operation FORAGE – Canadian Forces contribute to NATO’s Essential Harvest in Kosovo using SEI equipment. Operation Echo – Canadian Forces in Aviano, Italy, enforce a no-fly zone over the Balkan region using SEI equipment. Operation KINETIC – Canadian Forces contribute to the KFOR NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo using SEI equipment. Operation PALLADIUM – Canadian Forces contribute to the NATO stabilization force in the Balkans using SEI equipment. Operation DETERMINATION – Canadian Forces deploy to the Persian Gulf using SEI fuel bladders. Operation ACE GUARD – CF participates in the (NATO) Allied Command Europe Mobile Force in Turkey using SEI Onion tanks. Operation RECORD – Canadian Forces mission to secure Iraqi-Kuwaiti border saw the use of an SEI aviation refueling system. Operation APOLLO – Canadian Forces contribute to the international campaign against terrorism using SEI fuel bladders and FARE (forward area refueling equipment). Operation ATHENA – SEI assisted the CF contribution to the NATO stabilization forces in Kabul, Afghanistan with various products. Operation ARCHER – Canadian Forces lead NATO stabilization forces in Kandahar, Afghanistan. SEI supports this effort with fuel and water systems. CF Missions in asia Operation STRUCTURE – Canadian Forces tsunami aid to Ampara, Sri Lanka, uses SEI’s reverse osmosis water purification unit and Onion tanks. Operation CAVALIER – Canadian Forces contribute to the NATO stabilization force in the Balkans using SEI equipment. CF Missions in aFRICA Operation PLATEAU – Canadian Forces respond with humanitarian aid to the 2005 earthquake that struck South Asia. SEI equipment included the use of Onion water tanks. Operation DELIVERANCE – Canadian Forces mission to Somalia uses SEI fuel bladders. Operation ECLIPSE – Canadian Forces contribute to the UN mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea using multiple SEI bladder tanks along with FSDS/WSDS systems.
