The Great Seal of
The United States of America
The Problem
---------------------------------“Knowing what America stands for is not a genetic
inheritance. It must be learned…..in this way, a nation
founded on an idea is inherently fragile.”
“Too often students (in America) are taught more
about America’s failings than its successes.”
“With single-minded emphasis on our differences,
every group is encouraged to retain its separate
identity.”
“Historically, schools promoted our unity, today they
emphasize differences.”
“And it (history) is often taught with a one-sided
emphasis on the failings of America to the neglect of
our successes, as if the aim of civic education were
to make students ashamed of their country instead of
committed to its ideals.”
“Historical ignorance, civic neglect and social
fragmentation might achieve what a foreign invader
could not.”
E Pluribus Unum – From Many, One
Mission
-----------------------------
– E PLURIBUS UNUM
A 2008 report by
The Bradley Foundation
www.bradleyproject.org
The American Heritage Education
Foundation is dedicated to teaching
America’s unique, inspired philosophical
heritage to produce constructive
citizenship and greater Freedom, Unity,
Progress and Responsibility (FUPR™)
among all Americans.
“(Our educators) are busy poisoning the present by
the way they present the past. The message that is
pounded home again and again (in our schools) is
that white people enslaved black people.”
– Dr. Thomas Sowell, Educator
AHEF is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, non-profit
educational foundation that is all-inclusive of
every race, creed and religious or nonreligious belief.
“I have in mind the Founding Fathers’ idea of an
informed citizenry. This is the basic principle that
underlies our national system in the first place–that
people in a democracy (should) be entrusted to
decide important matters for themselves because
they can deliberate and communicate with one
another. Clearly our schools have failed to fulfill their
fundamental responsibility to provide students with
(adequate) world knowledge (‘cultural literacy’).”
www.americanheritage.org
– Dr. E. D. Hirsch, Jr., Educator
13
The Recommendation
-----------------------------------
America has four key underlying characteristics which
must be carefully analyzed, understood and learned
for the country to function effectively for optimum
benefit for all of its citizens. These four characteristics
are Freedom, Unity, Progress and Responsibility
(FUPR™) and are emphasized in AMERICA’S HERITAGEAn Adventure in Liberty.
“Textbooks should be supplemented with primary
books and authors—that tell about the lives and
events that constitute the drama of American history.”
“A foundation for understanding American history
should be laid in the primary grades by including
national holidays, heroes, songs and poems. Stories of
heroes and heroines should be major components of
the social studies and reading curricula in K-5.”
“The founding period should be covered at all levels,
including the senior year.”
Programs
----------------------------------America’s Founders planned, designed and
implemented history’s first socio-economic system of
self-government that has resulted in the greatest socioeconomic progress in recorded history.
– E PLURIBUS UNUM
A 2008 report by
The Bradley Foundation

Additional, original programs are currently being
designed and developed by AHEF to help strengthen
and preserve the United States of America.
The Objective
-----------------------------------
How to Help
-----------------------------------
To inform Americans of the divisive and destructive
educational tenets that are now being taught to our
nation’s students as reported in E Pluribus Unum.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational foundation,
AHEF needs your support to preserve and strengthen
America’s founding ideals. Between 78% and 85% of
our revenue goes directly to our educational programs
throughout all fifty states. AHEF is the largest provider of
patriotic, free K-12 Lesson Plans in America.
To strengthen and preserve America through
productive citizenship and increased Freedom, Unity,
Progress and Responsibility (FUPR™) in America. AHEF
provides factual, objective and patriotic teaching
materials to teachers, students, schools and families to
increase our nation’s understanding of original
documents, historical events, national symbols and
America’s founding principles.
“Ideals are like stars; you will not succeed in touching
them with your hands. But like the seafaring man on
the ocean’s waters, you choose them as your guides,
and following them, you will reach your destiny.”
– Carl Schurz, first German-born
Immigrant elected to the
United States Senate, 1869
The Solution
----------------------------------The American Heritage Education Foundation, Inc.
(AHEF) is a leading national writer, producer and
distributor of factual K-12 supplemental social studies,
history and economic curricula for teachers,
schools and families in all fifty states.
AMERICA’S HERITAGE-An Adventure in Liberty is
made available at no cost to teachers
throughout America by AHEF. Over 93,000
teachers have instructed over 1,600,000 students
on the inspired and noble principles of America’s
founding using this curriculum
