Building on the enormous success of the first 60 Days project, we are now preparing an inspiring commemoration and celebration of 60 years of Israel.
This next project in the 60 Days series will be launched on 9th March 2008 and culminate on
Yom Hazikaron the day before the 60th Yom
Ha'atzmaut on 7th May 2008.
Featuring a new 60 day programme of learning for every individual, 60 Days: Israel will unite hundreds of thousands of Jews across the world. 60 original essays from world renowned Jewish Educators,
Historians and Rabbonim will be read in memory of the people whose lives have been lost in times of war and terror.

It has taken off incredibly here at JFS.
There are so many students studying, talking about and carrying the book around school. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this special initiative.

I have just finished reading 60 Days for 6 Million in commemoration of a young man who was murdered in
Auschwitz in 1944 and in memory of the town from which he came, Lodz.
I felt privileged to be part of such a worldwide scheme, particularly as it is possible that I may the only person remembering this young man. I am determined to continue learning as an ongoing commemoration in the name of the lost Lodz community and in his name.

I have just completed the 60 days book in memory of Rachel Tusk Z'L.
As a mother of a 10 month old I hardly have time to myself during the day but each morning when the baby had her nap I would read one of the essays.
… It was an incredible thing for me to feel part of such an immense project in my own small way. I plan to continue my learning each and every day now that I have started this great habit.
