Engineering
NASA wants you to become the engineers, scientists,
researchers and innovators of tomorrow. The HAS project
offers a one-of-a-kind experience for Texas high school
students like you to jump start your future and explore the
possibilities of a Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) related major or career.
BlueStamp Engineering is a summer program for high school
students to build projects that they are truly passionate about.
It is a 6 week program that runs four hours per day and
operates in San Francisco, NYC, Houston, and Denver. BSE
also invites guest speakers from various engineering fields
and start-up entrepreneurs to provide inspiration for a career
in technology.
Dual Credit enables a high school student to earn credit
towards high school graduation while simultaneously earning
college credit towards an associate's degree or workforce
program certificate.
Dual Credit is approved and regulated by the Texas Higher
Education Coordinating Board.

The UMHB College of Nursing will be offering a summer
camp that will provide upper level high school students the
opportunity to experience nursing school and college life at
UMHB. The summer program will include four facets:
academics, spirit and traditions of UMHB, faith and learning,
and campus life.
UTSA Engineering is offering its Engineering Summer Camp
to entering freshmen through graduating seniors. Students
who attend have the opportunity to experience engineering
through hands-on workshops, engaging academic lectures,
research lab tours, and friendly competitions.

The BEAT Academy is a one week science educational
program for high school students interested in the health
sciences.
Students will experience a unique, behind the scenes view of
medical and biomedical research including:
• Gross anatomy of the human body
• Hands- on laboratory experiments
• UTHSCSA’s state of the art Sim-lab
• Lectures from research and medical faculty
• Visits to research labs
• College prep seminars
Investigative activities and problem-solving endeavors in
fields such as biotechnology, bioengineering, nanotechnology
and health sciences stimulate increased knowledge and skills
in science, engineering, technology and math!
Hosted by the Bauer College Wolff Center for
Entrepreneurship (WCE), one of the top undergraduate
entrepreneurship programs in the nation, you will get a CEO's
perspective on starting a business from the ground up and
hands-on experiences - from elevator pitches to
implementation of your business ideas!
Sales and Marketing at UH Bauer is real world. It's about
getting to know people and learning how to use those
connections to advance your brand by successfully showing
value and standing out. What are you doing to distinguish
yourself now? You will have the opportunity to work on
teams, perfect your presentation skills, have fun and most of
all, you will get to explore what makes you stand out.
Will we run out of oil and what will replace it? Natural gas,
nuclear, solar, or wind? How do we run our cars, businesses,
and homes and still have a clean environment and avoid

prison, crime lab, or morgue? Would you like to
investigate a mock crime scene?
Engineering Innovation is an exciting college-level
summer program for motivated high school students
with an aptitude in math and science and an interest in
(or curiosity about) engineering. Students learn to think
and problem-solve like engineers and have the
opportunity to earn Johns Hopkins University (JHU)
credit.

The STEP Forward Camp is a one-week residential
engineering introduction program for rising 12th graders. The
program is limited to fifty students. Participants stay on the
University of Houston campus in a dormitory. UH
engineering students serve as camp mentors and counselors.

The National Space Club Scholars Project is a summer intern
experience for up to 30 high school students to work with
space scientists and engineers.
The purpose of this project is to provide students with an
opportunity to experience how research and development
organizations operate on a day-to-day basis in direct support
of NASA's mission to inspire the next generation of explorers.
Participants are assigned to work with a technical professional
in a field related to the student's stated interests and expertise.

Scholars
The Clark Scholar Program is an intensive seven week
summer research program for highly qualified high school
juniors and seniors.
The Program at Texas Tech University helps the Scholars to
have a hands-on practical research experience with
outstanding and experienced faculty.
The Scholars will receive a $750 tax-free stipend and room
and board. The Program includes fun activities, weekly
seminars and field trips. This Program provides opportunities
for research in all academic areas in the university. (click on
