Clean Harbors Announces Field Services Center
in Seymour, Connecticut
Continues to offer environmental services throughout the region
SEYMOUR, Conn. – Sept. 24, 2013 – Clean Harbors, North America’s leading provider of environmental,
energy and industrial services, today announced that it is opening a new Field Services office here. The office
will employ approximately 50 Clean Harbors personnel and serve as a base for a wide range of services
throughout the Connecticut region.
The Seymour location brings together Field Services operations from two existing Connecticut offices, Bristol
and Milford, into a single, state-of-the-art facility to provide environmental services supporting
manufacturing, chemical and bio-technical manufacturers/companies, as well as utilities and
telecommunications businesses. These services include emergency spill response, plant maintenance and
hazardous waste management and collection. Clean Harbors Field Service technicians also staff community
hazardous waste collections throughout the state.
“The newly renovated state-of-the-art site in Seymour represents a valuable asset for both our customers and
employees in Connecticut,” said Joseph Heron, Clean Harbors General Manager of Field Services. “It enables
us to incorporate all of our Field Services operations together under one roof at a strategically located facility
with easy access to routes 95, 84 and 91. It will serve as an excellent resource for us as we expand our
operations and continue to enhance our service offering to the Connecticut marketplace.”
Field Fervices employees are being transferred from Bristol and Milford to Seymour. Bristol will remain the
base for Clean Harbors’ Technical Services (including Waste Disposal and CleanPack®), Transportation and
Logistics, as well as the Wastewater Treatment facility. In addition, Clean Harbors’ Safety-Kleen subsidiary
has waste oil collection/recycling service centers in Bridgeport and Portland, Connecticut.
The Seymour facility will be the base for the Company’s fleet of service and emergency response vehicles
including vacuum and tanker trucks, excavators and roll-off container trucks, boats, boom trailers and other
specialized equipment. Occupancy of the new Seymour facility, located at 770 Derby Ave., is expected in
October.
