If you are ordering one of our new PE kits for an extra £1 you can get the child’s first
name written under the school crest. Please just add the name on the order form and
Topaz will arrange for this. If you have already have a New PE kit and would like the
name added we can arrange for the company to do this for the same charge.

TRIP TO STOCKLEY FARM
Helena Homes are running a trip to Stockley Farm during the Easter break. For

BOOK WEEK
It is World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March. There will be a number of activities
going on during our school day and the children will be asked to come to school in
their Pyjama's for the day. A letter will be sent separately with more details.

A big well done to all the children who tool part in the Usborne Sponsored read over
the half term holidays (there will be an update on next weeks newsletter as to how
much sponsorship was raised).
Children who took part will get the opportunity this coming Wednesday to chose a
book/books to take home to keep—the Usborne representative will be holiday a ‘day
long’ book fair and all children will be able to use their World Book Day Tokens.
Parents are more than welcome to purchase additional books at the end of the
school day if they wish to.
FILM NIGHT—Thursday 3rd March 5pm –7pm (please ensure your child is picked
up promptly)
Some tickets still available from school office, £2 per ticket.
RUGBY
Well done to the Year 5 and 6 pupils who represented our school at the contact
league fixtures on Wednesday after school. They will be playing again on
Wednesday Good Luck to them all.

Interesting fact about the link between school attendance and attainment:90% school attendance for a pupil may seem fairly good. However, it is the
equivalent of being absent from lessons for one half day every week. In one
year it means missing four whole weeks in the school year. At Nutgrove we
fully appreciate your continued co-operation in ensuring your child(ren) are in
school each day and on time.
