Summer Camps 2010 Hello to Everyone! It’s April already and as many of you know I am way behind in presenting my camp program. This year, I am only offering 4 weeks of sewing camps with a slightly different pricing structure. When you are considering the price of the sewing camps, please remember that sewing requires not only a sewing machine (in good condition with presser feet, needles etc) but other equipment such as irons, notions, and sergers as well. In addition, campers must either supply their own patterns, fabric, and notions or purchase them at camp. Listening to parents and students I am hearing that summers are hectic and it’s sometimes very hard (if not impossible) to find the time to fit in all the summer activities. In response to these concerns “Get Creative and Sew” Camps will introduce flexible scheduling this year. Choose from 4 options when signing up for sewing lessons: Option #1 Sign up for one of the scheduled weekly camps meeting for 3 hours in the morning or afternoon. Camps meet for 5 days (Monday – Friday) for a total of 15 hours. Students will learn basic sewing skills and then sew projects based on their interests and skills Cost: $225.00 for 15 hours of instruction plus the cost of supplies. Bring your own project/s or purchase kits at a nominal price at camp. Camp fee based on $15/hr Option #2 Sign up for one of the scheduled weekly camps for both morning and afternoon sessions. A full day of camp begins at 9:30am and runs until 4pm everyday for 5 days. Campers will bring a lunch and will eat from 12:30pm to 1pm each day. Students will learn basic sewing skills and then sew projects based on their interests and skills. Cost: $500.00 for 30 hours of instruction AND all supplies are included for both morning and afternoon sessions! Based on $15/hour Best Deal for campers…supplies greatly discounted! Option 3# No time for a full week of sewing fun? No problem! As space permits, join one of the camps for a 3 or 6 hour time frame @ $20/hr plus supplies. $20/hr is my current special rate for sewing lessons in my home classroom (private or semi-private) Option #4 Can’t fit in a scheduled camp?
