At the world – renowned Zenon Environmental, I was hired for two consecutive terms in the Membrane
plant. Membrane produced at this plant are of such superior quality that they are used worldwide to rid
water of bacteria, pathogenic microorganisms, metals and solids. During my work terms I was an
outstanding coop employee, and have shown great initiative, good judgment, and a sound understanding
of the job. My performance has surpassed a Junior Chemist level with two years experience. Some of the
procedures and techniques I develop are now been used by the all employees in that division.

As a Chemical technician, I made significant contributions to the day-to-day smooth operation of the
Department’s teaching labs. I was responsible for maintaining and trouble shooting equipment and
ensuring the highest safety standards for Faculty and students. Worked with suppliers to help develop
applied opportunities that can be demonstrated in the classroom. Established rapport with many of the
faculty and staff of the College.

July 1998 – August 2001
This organization is responsible for smooth operation of the Scarborough Regional Hospital. As an
Assistant Medical laboratory technician, I was in charge of Quality Control. Certain tests were performed
on all laboratory equipments to ensure that they were in specification to be use on a day to day basis.
Apart from my daily chemical test, I was responsible for the taking of blood from patients by intravenous
method and ensure that special tests were shipped to Trinidad.

I work together with the Senior Chemist to investigate various prescription drugs to confirm the correct
amount of each ingredient present. After the first week of training I was given my own drugs to analyze
and work with on my own. This is where my passion for the chemistry profession began.
