Below are lists of OTC medications that will not interfere with your warfarin
treatment. Other medications may be safe also, so please consult with your
pharmacist or doctor.
Antacids and Stomach Acid Reducers
Calcium Carbonate (Tums®)
Magnesium Hydroxide, Aluminum Hydroxide (Maalox®, Mylanta®)
Simethicone (Gas-X®)
Calcium Carbonate (Tums®)
Ranitidine (Zantac®)
Antidiarrheals
Loperamide (Imodium®)
Psyllium (Metamucil®)
Antihistamines
Chlorpheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton®)
Clemastine (Contac®, Tavist®, others)
Diphenhydramine (Benadryl®)
Cetirizine (Zyrtec®)
Loratadine (Claritin®)
Expectorants
Guaifenesin (Robitussin Cough Syrup®)
Decongestants
Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed®)
Phenylephrine (Sudafed PE®, others)
Pain
Acetaminophen (Tylenol®)* in maximum doses up to 2000 mg/day
