Dave Johns WINNER: SPIRIT OF THE FRINGE AWARD EDINBURGH 1998 Dave has gained a reputation as an inventive, exciting and extremely funny comedian winning applause from his audiences, respect from his fellow comics, and rave reviews from the critics. In 2013, Dave Johns co wrote a new stage adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption which hit the West End and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013. He has had two very successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in highly acclaimed shows ‘Dave Johns On The Edge’ in 1998 and ‘I’m in The Attic Mother’ in 1999 at the Pleasance Theatre for which he won the Spirit of the Fringe Award. Dave has been invited to perform across the world from Glastonbury to Hong Kong, Leeds to Bangkok and performed sell-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia 1998, 1999 & 2001. July 2001 also saw Dave perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
