3. Where Historians Disagree- It is important to understand that history is not just a compilation of facts, but it
consists of several interpretations. Much of the American past is debated and this page offers a good understanding
of different interpretations. You are expected to read these pages.
4. America in the World- It is important to remember that America does not stand alone in the world, but has
several countries in which it is always interacting.
5. Patterns of Popular Culture- These essays showcase how popular culture affects the lives of Americans.
