Press release For immediate release Ljubljana, 30 January 2015 FINALE of the 8th Intercontinental Advertising CUP Ljubljana, 5 March 2015, Grand hotel Union The idea of the Intercontinental Advertising Cup rose from the experience. Since the world divided to Anglo-Saxon and the remains, it fell out of balance. Global tsunami surrounded our planet, universal truth are communicating with it. Only deeply rooted to their culture and in their ground can resist with their clear speaking based on local roots. Genius Loci, spirit of the place is general motto of The CUP who exposes and praises the heroes who take their creative power like Achilles from the ground when they stand. If advertising is the most successful accelerator of economy, Genius Loci in communication is the most successful reply to globalization. Locally inspired creativity with a respectful inspiration of the place, with the richness of native language, tradition and intimacy of ethno culture are the best answer to universal global addresses. Advertising pass over through the biggest transformation and reconstruction. We are looking for new routes, new explanations, new definitions of advertising and communication.
