The University Center of Lake County delivers higher education programs to the citizens of Lake County. Through the collaborative effort of our
member institutions, the University Center provides a number of bachelor’s completion programs as well as graduate and professional development
opportunities. Courses are offered in our Grayslake and Waukegan facilities, at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, and through the

Program Description
This cohort-style program is designed to develop a broad range of business skills and prepares students for a wide variety of career options.

Classes may be scheduled face-to-face or in a blend of face-to-face and online study. The
program is offered in 10-week quarters. Students take three courses per term.
Students may apply 135 quarter credit hours or 90 semester credit hours of transfer credit to
the NLU degree. A maximum of 60 quarter credit hours of technical credit may be applied to
the Bachelor’s degree.
Credit can be earned through CLEP, DANTES, and other proficiency examinations.
Students may seek financial assistance through grants, loans, and scholarship programs. For

Admission Requirements
Students must have completed an AAS degree in management or an equivalent degree with general education requirements completed in
communication, economics, ethics, math, and psychology.
Students must complete business prerequisites in accounting, business, computers, finance, management, and marketing.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
At least 90 quarter credit hours or 60 semester credit hours of transferring credit.



Submit completed application with a $40 application fee.
Submit official transcripts from all previous college work.
