 Distribute copies of a brochure or 1-page handout on your Solution Team project

 Each person will provide a 3-minute “sales pitch” for their Solution Team project
idea
 Diane and Leslie will provide information on Solution Team ideas generated by
the District
 LEAPers will vote on the Solution Team project proposals to determine which
ones to move forward to final voting
 LEAP Coordinating Team will identify the final 6 projects to choose from
 LEAPers will select their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices
 The LEAP Coordinating Team will place LEAPers into Solution Teams
 LEAPers will be notified by email on or before Tuesday, March 10th, which
Solution Team they are on and who their mentor will be
 Solution Teams will meet at least once before the March 20th LEAP session

Participants will be able to:
 Describe what advocacy is
 Examine strategies and techniques used to successfully advocate for an initiative or
program
 Develop an idea that they can begin to work on that will help them advocate for their
own initiative or program
