DETAILS Visiting Swedish physicist Professor Kjell Aleklett will officially launch the Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas Australia on Monday 21st November at a press conference starting 2.00pm, in the RAC Media Room 832 Wellington Street Perth. During his visit Professor Aleklett will be delivering formal briefings to the WA ALP caucus, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Australian Institute of Energy, the RAC and senior State Government bureaucrats including Directors General and Executive Directors from most major departments, including DPI, PTA and Main Roads. He will be giving a public lecture at the University of Western Australia at 6.30pm on Monday 21st and giving private briefings to politicians and business people. Professor Aleklett is in Australia at the invitation of the Perth-based Sustainable Transport Coalition. He will also travel to Brisbane to brief Queensland Transport and the Brisbane Institute.
