Voted: That the Harwich Municipal Traffic Code, Pedestrian Regulations adopted by the Board of Selectmen February 22, 2011 are hereby further amended in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 85, Section 2 by adding to Section 1, Schedule P-1, CROSSWALKS the following street locations for “Mid-block” crosswalks; Orleans-Harwich Rd, Route 39 connecting the Old Colony Rail Trail, and The validity of this order is contingent upon the conformance of signs and markings erected or used in conformance with the standards prescribed by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Highway Division. The CROSSWALK MARKING at Mid-block crosswalks shall be not less than six feet wide using Longitudinal lines. The Mid-block crosswalk shall be supported with the PEDESTRIAN (W11-2) sign (fluorescent yellow-green) with an ARRROW (W16-7P) sign. The Mid-block crosswalk at Rail Trail crossings shall be supported with the BICYCLE PEDESTRIAN (W11-15) sign (fluorescent yellow-green) with a TRAIL X-ING supplemental (W1115P) sign (fluorescent yellow-green). The Mid-block crosswalk shall also be supported with advance notice warning signs preceding the crossing using the Pedestrian (W11-2) sign (fluorescent yellow-green) and the AHEAD supplemental (W16-9P) sign (fluorescent yellow-green).
