1. Mr. Kuda Bux, an Indian firewalker, walked barefoot –
twice, over coals that reached 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit.
What would that temperature be in degrees Celsius? (Hint:
to change degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit, you take the degrees
C and multiply by nine. Then, divide that number by 5 and
add 32)
2. If a large jellybean measures 1cm x 1 cm, how many
jellybeans would it take to create a mosaic on a wall that
measures 5 meters x 10 meters?
3. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Has lots of great exhibits created
with a wide variety of unusual objects such as bread,
jellybeans, matchsticks and sugar. Now, it is your turn to
build a Believe It or Not! Sketch your design on a piece of
paper. Make sure that you use proper measurements and
draw your creation to scale. Then, decide what you will
build your design out of and create away! Maybe your
creation will be our next exhibit!
4. The giant ball of gum wrappers in the museum measures 20
inches in diameter.
