Temperature Conversions
Fahrenheit thermometers are in common use in the United States, but scientists and all others who use the
metric system use the scale called Celsius. This scale is the same as Centigrade, but the National Institute of
Standards and Technology has recommended the use of the term Celsius since 1948. See the conversions below:

Celsius-Fahrenheit Conversion
To convert Celsius degrees into Fahrenheit: multiply by 9, divide by 5 and add 32.
To convert Fahrenheit into Celsius: subtract 32 from Fahrenheit, multiply by 5, divide by 9.
