FOREIGN EXCHANGE RATE PUBLICATION
Due to the inclement weather caused by Tropical Storm Charley, the
Bank of Jamaica will close to the public at 11:00 am today. In that
regard, a weighted average exchange rate from today's trading will not be
published. The weighted average exchange rate derived from trading on
Tuesday, 10 August 2004 will be the applicable exchange rates for
Customs and GCT purposes from Wednesday, 11 August 2004 to
Thursday, 12 August 2004.
Foreign currency trades reported via eGate for Wednesday, 11 August
2004 will be incorporated in exchange rate calculations for the next
business day.
