JOB OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
BACKGROUND
The Integrated Polytechnic Regional Center-South is a legally Government Higher Learning Institution
established under law Number 03/2009 of 27/03/2009 that establishes WDA, and IPRCs as its affiliated
Institutions in Rwanda. IPRC-South has a mandate of Implimenting & facilitating TVET offers in sourthern
province in order to enhance competitiveness and employability through strong and dynamic TVET system.
Reference to the Ministerial order n°03/mifotra/15 of 09/06/2015 determining modalities for recruiting
contractual staff in public service, IPRC-South seeks to recruit an oracle trainer/instructor on contract basis
for a period of one (1) year renewable for its head quarter campus situated at Huye District.
The IPRC-South is the premier TVET institution in the Southern province comprised of three constituent
campuses; a Polytechnic (Advanced Diploma), a Vocational Training Centre (VTC), and a Technical
Secondary School (TSS).
The instructor will be operating and staying at the head quarter campus situated at Huye District and work
as per the terms agreed upon in the contract. The oracle trainer will among others train the students and
guide/train the trainers/teachers not only those from IPRC South but also others that WDA may recommend
in the TVET education. Training will be done in different discipline of oracle programs i.e. Java and
database programs with different Oracle certifications to be attained by the trainees.
It is with this background that IPRC-South invites specialized and skilled personnel on the labor market to
apply for this vacant post. The details of the requirements are as follows:

Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor degree in information technology field
and/or teaching information technology courses for
over 5 years and training in oracle applications.
Candidates must be Oracle certified and recognized
instructor by Oracle.
-Should be recent education in cutting edge
computer technology areas. Practical experience in
learner-centered education pedagogy and strategies.



Does the planning for the coverage of modules

Conduct trainings/instructions based on the

All the above-indicated courses in the table have corresponding examinations that have to be taken at the end
of each. The trainer will therefore be responsible to make sure the trainees are fit and ready to sit and pass
the corresponding exam for each course accomplished for certification.

Evaluation of the application
Your application will be evaluated in terms of experience, education and skills. This is known as long
listing, whereby only applicants that meet the minimum requirements of the position are selected to
undergo a Competency-based interview.
If it is determined that you are not eligible or only meet some or none of the requirements for this job, you
will be informed, at the appropriate time, that your application was unsuccessful for this particular job.
Competency-based interview
The competency-based interview will take place either via telephone, video conference or in person. You
will be notified in advance of the time, duration and means and/or place of the interview. During the
interview, we learn more about your combination of skills, attributes and behaviour that are directly related
to your successful performance on the job.
Reference Checks
Appointment at the IPRC-South is subject to satisfactory and complete verification of academic
qualifications and employment. If you are a candidate under closer consideration, reference checks will be
conducted and you will be notified accordingly. Regarding academic qualifications, only applicants with
academic qualifications from accredited (officially recognized) universities or institutions are considered
eligible. The accreditation status of an educational institution is verified through this reference check
procedure.
As for the employment verification, if you had indicated in your application that you have objections to

and you have confirmed your interest in a position.
Compliance Review Panel/Board
Based on all the findings of the various evaluation and assessment stages, a pool of qualified candidates is
recommended for selection. Such a recommendation is reviewed by an independent review body, composed
of staff and management representatives of IPRC-South, which make sure that the applicable procedures,
were followed correctly and that all applicants were considered in a fair, transparent and objective manner.
Selection notification
After the review body has endorsed the recommended candidates, if you are the selected candidate, you will
be informed that you have been selected.
