The tournament will be conducted under the rules of the USBC.
All bowlers must be members of the USBC for the current season. MEMBER-ID CARDS MUST BE
PRESENTED AT THE TOURNAMENT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO BOWL. Check in individually at least
one-half hour before scheduled bowling time with member-id card in hand Coaches may present league roster
instead of the member-id cards. League standings as of December 1 2015, must also be presented.
BOWLERS MAY BOWL MORE THAN ONCE IN THE TEAM EVENT. However, no more than three
members of the same team may bowl together more than once. It is the coach's responsibility to find a substitute
bowler, if necessary, and report the substitution to the tournament director before the particular squad on the
tournament substitution form.
Previous year highest league average will be used to determine division and handicap. A minimum of 21 games is
necessary for a previous year average. If no previous average then the highest league average as of December 1,
2015 will be used. All bowlers must have bowled a minimum of 9 games to establish an average. Those who do
not have the minimum of 9 games by December 1 2015 may, with the coach's certification, use a current average
of at least 9 games as of the date of bowling in this tournament. All others will bowl scratch.
Teams will be composed of 4 bowlers, Boys - Girls - Mixed. Teams may be composed of bowlers in different age
groups and leagues. However, the handicap will be based on the total team average.
Bowlers will bowl 3 games and must use their own ball (no sharing).
Each participant is responsible for arranging transportation to and from the tournament site.
a. Team Event Awards will be given on the basis of at least 1 for each 10 (or major part of 10) entries in each
division.
b. Singles Event (using the scores bowled from the team event) scholarship awards are based on most pins over
average. Scholarships will also be given to the top individual scratch score for high game and high series in each
of the six singles divisions. Series will take precedence over game scores. A bowler can win only one of the pins
over average scholarships or scratch scholarship.
ALL TOURNEY SCHOLARSHIP FEES WILL BE PAID OUT IN FULL ($3.00/bowler entry fee)
Handicap will be based on 80% of the difference between the total team entering average and a scratch score of
960.
Please check in at least 30 minutes before bowling. Coaches will be emailed results the Monday after bowling. No
errors will be corrected unless reported to the tournament director within 48 hours after bowling.
Squads will be filled, according to preference reported, as the entry and fees are received by the tournament
director. Please indicate first and second choice. Reservations can be made by telephone. However, if reserved
entries and monies are not received by December 1st, 2015 times will be given to another coach. THERE WILL
BE ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!!!.
SPECIAL RULES FOR DOUBLES
1. BOWLERS MAY BOWL AS MANY TIMES AS THEY WISH. HOWEVER, YOU CAN ONLY WIN ONCE
WITH THE SAME PARTNER. Teams will be composed of two bowlers; boys, girls or mixed. It is the coach's
responsibility to find a substitute bowler if necessary, and report the substitution to the tournament director before
the particular squad on the tournament substitution form. Tournament management reserves the right in emergency
cases to permit an individual from the hosting house to substitute if no substitute is available.
2. Scholarships will be awarded on a basis of at least 1 for each 10 (or major part of 10) entries in each division.
ALL TOURNEY SCHOLARSHIP FEES WILL BE PAID OUT IN FULL ($3.00/bowler entry fee)
3. Handicap will be based on 100% of the difference between the partners entering average and a scratch score of 480.
