The Chairman Councillor David J Clifft welcomed Members to this month’s meeting.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
A resident commented on the Pool facility and the Community.
A resident was present regarding the Wyrley FC tournament but did not comment.

3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING ON THE 9TH FEBRUARY 2015
Minutes proposed by Councillor June Smallman seconded by the Councillor Beryl Tarbuck and carried.
4. MATTERS ARISING (FROM LAST MEETINGS MINUTES) - NONE
5. COUNTY COUNCILLORS REPORT – County Councillor Mike Lawrence attended the meeting and issued his report
outlining the County Council’s proposals for the next financial year. Members discussed the report, Councillor Denise James
asked about the reduction of children centre. Members raised ward issues Councillor Beryl Tarbuck commented on the proposed
work in Broad Lane, Councillor Chris Steel raised the footpath along Berry Brook, Councillor Winston Haddon commented on the
roadway on Sneyd Lane, Councillor Bryn Whitehouse commented on the layby on Old Hampton Lane, County Councillor Mike
Lawrence noted all comments and will check and come back.
6. WYRLEY FC – Tournament – Members discussed the proposed event and raised concerns about parking on Long Lane and the
disruption to residents, Councillor Bert Gibbons proposed that the residents are sent information about the event and given the
chance to comment seconded by Councillor Peter Lever votes 10 for 3 against therefore carried.
7. ESSINGTON COMMUNITY CENTRE PROPOSED REFURBISHMENT
 Phase 9 –work on the roof still outstanding awaiting better weather.
The Chairman commented on the boiler in the playgroup which was not working and needed several parts, the boiler has
been replaced.
8.CORRESPONDENCE
All correspondence received has been delivered to Members either by email or hard copies.
Councillor Winston Haddon commented on an application to carry out work on a TPO tree o/s 62 Sneyd Lane, he had visited the site
and commented that the tree was in need of work, but need to be monitored.
Councillor Bryn Whitehouse commented on the recent Police Locality Meeting, he said the turnout was low and discussed the contents
of the meeting.

Budget 2015/16 – Approval – The budget was proposed by Councillor June Smallman seconded by Councillor Bob Bradburn

Precept Cuts 2015/16 - The Chairman confirmed that no figures have been received for the forthcoming for the next financial
year.
11. SNEYD LANE

Flooding –.Councillor Winston Haddon commented on the ongoing investigation, that readings had been taken on the
water table and consideration will now be given as to what work is carried out.

Road Humps & Footpaths – As discussed in County Councillor’s Report.
12. WESTCROFT- Berry Brook - as discussed in County Councillor’s Report.

Verges Councillor June Smallman commented that Royal Mail & the children’s bus are both still driving on the verges,
the clerk will report again.
13. BROAD LANE FOOTPATHS – Councillor Beryl Tarbuck commented that there was a pothole in the road which has
been reported but has not been repaired, the clerk will chase up.
14. OPEN SPACE LAND SJ96760348 – The clerk confirmed that a preliminary application was being made to land registry.
15. TRAFFIC CONTROL - Barrier & Traffic Pads The new barrier is fully installed and working, tokens are required
morning and afternoon to exit the site. Additional signage is being made and will be installed shortly.
16. DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT –Councillor David Clifft J P commented on his monthly meetings and visits
throughout the parish, Members discussed various issues
