Features Fully compatible with SATA device interface Hot-swap, Plug-and-Play Power switch Aluminum case provides the best heat dissipation and hard disk protection Ultra high SATA-speed transfer rate depending on the hard disk drive used Compatible with most of 3.5" SATA HDD External SATA enclosure for 3.5" devices Package contents Serial ATA enclosure Serial ATA cable 5V/12V power adapter Screwdriver, stand, 2 plastic sides, user manual System requirements Personal computer equipped with USB port running Windows 98/ME/2000/XP or Macintosh No driver is required with the exception of Windows 98 Install 3.5” SATA HDD into EE3-SATA-2 Using the supplied screwdriver, remove two screws at the back of the case and remove the back cover Insert two supplied plastic sides into the corresponding holes of the HDD. Plug the 7 pin SATA cable and 15 pin SATA power cable in the HDD Carefully slide HDD with the back cover inside the External SATA enclosure for 3.5" devices aluminium case Fix the screws again External SATA enclosure for 3.5" devices Driver installation The product does not need driver under Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP or Mac OS 8.6 (or above) Hot plug Serial ATA standard supports “hot plug” feature. It means that the hard disk can be connected to or disconnected from your system without any interruption to your work or restart of your computer being necessary. Remove Serial ATA hard disk Please, follow the steps below to remove the Serial ATA hard disk from your computer: Double click on “My Computer” Click with your right mouse button over the SATA hard disk you would like to remove and choose “Properties” from the popup External SATA enclosure for 3.5" devices menu. On the “Hardware” tab select the SATA hard disk again and click the “Properties” button. In the window which would appear choose “Stop using the device”. After that all the logical drives belonging to this SATA hard disk will disappear from your system Now you can disconnect the enclosure from the PC. Add a Serial ATA Hard Disk Please, follow the steps below to add a new Serial ATA hard disk to your system: Connect the enclosure to your PC using the provided SATA cable Double click on "My Computer" Click with your right mouse button over any hard disk on your system and choose “Properties” from the popup menu. On the “Hardware” tab select the SATA hard disk you plan to use and click the “Properties” button. In the window which would appear choose “Start using the device”. After that you will be able to use the new Serial ATA hard disk
