We are now looking to recruit a full time equivalent (FTE) Business Support Assistant (job share
considered for the right candidates) to work within our Disability Car Badge Team based in Bridgwater
within the Sedgemoor District Council Offices.
Applicants will require a confident approach to engage with others by telephone as you will be a first
point of contact and will need to use acquired knowledge and initiative to provide information for
applicants
You will be able to work with accuracy to update and maintain computerised record systems on the
National Blue Badge database – for which training will be provided.
Your ability to use acquired knowledge and experience of the process / system to identify potential
errors within established criteria, make corrections or escalate for resolution will be essential, whilst
maintaining confidentiality at all times.
You will also be called upon to support operational colleagues, co-ordinating their diaries to arrange
clinics, organise venues and maintain booking systems. The Business Support Assistant will also be
called upon to contact applicants direct to arrange appointment dates and confirm these appointments
in writing.
The role is varied and interesting and you would be part of a small team. The ability to prioritise
