Year 8 French independent study task – Summer term 2014
Task – You should research an event, historical figure, period of history from the French
speaking world.
You must then produce a presentation lasting up to one minute to teach others in the
group about what you have researched.
You can use any medium you wish to create the work (Word, PowerPoint, Movie Maker,
Drama…) but the spoken part MUST NOT BE PRE-RECORDED! You must produce
and do the presentation on your own – you should NOT work with a partner or pairs on
this work. Since the work is on a cultural topic, all presentations will be done in
ENGLISH.
You can do your research about anything/anyone you choose as long as they are from
the French speaking world!!!!



