I coordinated research, clinical, manufacturing and marketing divisions in a project to develop a
medicine for dialysis patients. Our UK and US branches also participated in the project. Japanese English translation has been one of my tasks in the cooperation between the branches. I have also
developed and validated a new document control system for the project.

My master’s thesis was about asymmetric synthesis of compounds which could be used for the
treatment of Parkinson and Alzheimer disease. To do the synthesis, I used an asymmetric substance.
Further, I investigated the receptor responsiveness for each compound.

I mainly studied English, Swedish and Swedish culture. I also studied some experimental organic
chemistry and NMR spectroscopy in the facility of Science and Technology.

The courses mostly consisted of one experimental part and one theoretical part. In my bachelor
thesis, I synthesized a molecule that is HIV inhibitor. I also had training at Tohoku university hospital.
LANGUAGE
Native Japanese, fluent both in spoken and written English, basic knowledge of Swedish. I am
currently learning Swedish, since I have Swedish husband and I will live in Sweden.

I organize scuba diving activities and make arrangements for scuba diving trips with our club

The board discusses how to improve student environment in the science related departments at
Tohoku University and negotiates with Tohoku University. My role was to consolidate opinions from
pharmacy students and introduce them at the board meetings.

The board decides annual events and organizes these activities. My role was collecting membership
fees and managing the organization economy.
