For information on program electives see your advisor. •Nevada School Law AND Nevada Constitution and U.S Constitution (TEST OUT PRIOR TO FIELD WORK) Provisions of Nevada School Law, Nevada Constitution and U.S. Constitution may be satisfied by achieving a minimum score of 70% on State approved exams (see http://nvteachers.doe.nv.gov/Testing_requirements.htm) FIELDWORK in your classroom will be allowed: •If you are a licensed teacher (elementary, secondary, special education, early childhood education) and you have moved into a special education working with students with ID, AND • You have completed all of the required classes for licensure in the area in which you are teaching (ID), AND •You have taken the PRAXIS II, Principles of Learning and Teaching for the grade level you are teaching (K-6 or 7-12), AND Revised 10/17/11 •You provide to your advisor your most current CCSD evaluation from your principal. It must be a satisfactory evaluation, AND •You must sign up for ESP 720 Fieldwork for 8 credits, AND •We will supervise you over the course of a 16-week semester. FIELD WORK for initial licensure: •If you do not possess a teaching license, you must do traditional fieldwork. This involves being placed in a classroom with a master teacher for 16 weeks.
